Templar DPS solutions if shield changes occur? PVE

So my Templar uses harness and if these changes happen it's going to be clunky with a cast time, outside of opening the rotation.
I double bar magelight for guild passives, use harness on main bar and psijic shield on back bar. Could I drop magelight for a HoT and double bar a psijic skill for the on demand shield?
I know the psijic shield is only active on block and iirc has a ten sec cool down but beside magelight the only other wiggle room on the bars would be to drop reflective light off of one for the HoT.
Could food/pots make up for losing mage guild passives or should reflective light get dropped?
Or any other suggestions? My build is kinda similar to alcasts beamplar but almost exclusively DoT with imbue weapon LA and radiant for executive. Soul assault and destro ult.
