If you’re looking for ZOS to fill in more of the map (e.g. the Reach) ... that isn’t appearing to be any time soon.

There is 2 zones and and Bleakrock island from Skyrim in game right now. Consider also for a moment that this game takes place some 1000 years before the events of Skyrim, and thats why its different. I get the feeling that ZOS might put a Skyrim DLC in game around 2021 which would be the 10th anniversary of the original game.

They said they're already working on stuff for next year, so I'm crossing fingers they'll open up more of Skyrim within a year. Maybe this was a hint.

Or maybe the artist just liked the Skyrim-style background.

If we make it that far with the recent Sorc nerfs

You would think after a 1000 years those trees would be so more smaller in ESO time or huger in Skyrim time. Talk about 1000 years of tradition. Nothing changes. Except the Wars. :p

    Hmmm ?

Well that is most certainly Riverwood which we do not yet have in ESO. However as others said, I wouldn't get too excited... maybe next year for the small zone DLC.

I'm betting on the former - purely because that most certainly is Riverwood. They wouldn't have the background if they weren't first making that area, as the background itself is rendered in-engine.

It's just a shame because the only part of Skyrim I really want is from Solitude to Markarth - I know Horns of the Reach is supposed to cover Falkreath region which is brushing up close to Markarth, but that's what I want to see.

I never really cared for the Whiterun region. Terrible memories of CTD as a noobie modder.

It is? I never knew that. I always thought those renders were 100% painted. Awesome.

Riverwood is a lumber milling town, so realistically they probably chop those trees every so often. They never have time to grow huge.

The Riverwood picture is a layering of existing Eastmarch assets.
None of the Crown Store pictures are indicative of specific identifiable locations in the game.

    Correct.

    TESO = Arena.

Now that is what we need. Maybe in an upcoming DLC or chapter. Have a story were we need to visit every province and get something. I don't care if the "gather the pieces" was already done, it was so long ago, I wouldn't mind doing it again as in honour or homage to Arena.

If they ruin this game, we can still go to Riverwood and soultrap some chickens ... with a one second cast time. B)

I hope they bring a new class with Skyrim expansion. Dragonborn. I want to shout the hell out of the mobs and players.

Ugh. No thanks. I didn't want to be that Dragonborn.... I played the whole MQ/Civil War twice - once from each side. After that I had mods, didn't play it at all for years. Then I got Legacy of the Dragonborn - THE mod for the collector's soul inside of me - and I played some of it to get what I needed for display. Same thing with Dawnguard - I am not enthralled with either vampires or those who kill them for fun or whatever.... but I put up with the quest line (and, unfortunately, Serana....) so I could put the collectables in the museum. I got really adept at disabling Serana so I didn't have to deal with her except as necessary to advance the quest line.

See.... I really really hate followers in a single player game....
