Pet targeting needs to change

We’ve all experienced the annoyance of trying to craft or use a banker when a Twilight Matriarch or Warden bear is in the way. Battlegrounds players will also be familiar with the annoyance of trying to target pet sorcs who literally use their pets as meat shields:

The above video is merely a demonstration of how difficult a single sorc is to target with only two pets out; a lot of pet sorcs have realized the advantage that pet targeting provides them, and stack up in preformed groups where they each have up to four pets on the screen at one time, giving them massive defence without impacting their offensive capabilities.

Given the issues presented to PVEers and PVPers alike, it might be time to consider overhauling pet targeting. One’s access to a banker or other interactable NPC/object should not be blocked by a pet, nor should pet classes be able to get away with huge defensive capabilities without having to make any sacrifices offensively.

Combat pets should stay outside (despawn) when you go into an interior such as a shop or the bank. They should then pop back in when you leave or need to be summoned again.

Dancing around flapping wings or a big bear butt gets annoying when all you want to do is drop things off in the bank.
