A FEMALE WHO IS SICK OF GETTING VICTIM BLAMED FOR REJECTING SCRUBS

I find it so hilarious and super inappropriate that I can't report a player harassment in the submit a ticket option, without getting this unfair run around from you guys. Want to know another thing that's inappropriate? Being called a fat b++++, ***, ***, ugly, that I'm only good for sucking ***, being called trash over and over.. all because I'm rejecting members and their sexual advances. I don't think you understand how difficult it is to be a female player. Don't tell me to block them because you can only block them on PSN! OR I can physically be in the same instance as him to report him?? Are you serious? OR I have to go to Sony? And report him? And MAYBE he'll get banned? MAYBE he'll be blocked? That's ridiculous. My text box is FILLED with this constant harassment everyday. Don't tell me to do something half ass like turn off my text box, or block him on PSN, or turn my text box to friends only, or ignore him in general. Because it's *** impossible. Are you for real? We should be able to block any whispers, comments, posts , from said player. I don't want to make a male character or a new account with a less girly name. STOP THIS OPPRESSION. WE'RE SICK OF IT.
I want an option in ESO NOT PSN in TEXT CHAT OR THE GROUP ROSTER. when you bring up the menu for accessing their menu by clicking on their names and BLOCK THEM FROM ANY TEXTS. no mail, no whispers, no group requests, no gifts, no visible comments in text chat whatsoever. It's completely REPULSIVE that this is such a difficult option to have.
I don't care if we've made dirty jokes in text chat, I don't care if were wearing something provacitive in game, I don't care about any kind of excuse like that. The fact this matter hasn't been addressed yet like this is gross. I know this isn't the right GD report category but I'm not going to take all night trying to dodge and jump over these BS forms and obstacles again that you've laid out to purposely make this harder then it should be.

There IS already an option to block players which would allow you to cease all communication with them. maybe research a bit before going off on a mindless rant?

Please inform me of it then. Because I've looked everywhere. And mindless rant? Lol typical. The only way I see to block them by accessing their profile and blocking them on PSN. not ESO.

And see it's quite funny that I've done exactly what they told me to do and I still get whispers, mail. So I think that YOU should do a bit of research.

I’m sorry you’ve had to deal with this. :( I completely understand the frustration behind your message. Blocking and removing yourself from the situation as much as possible is what I’ve found to be the only solution. There really isn’t too much zos can do about it. The onus is really on players to be decent to one another. I hope your gaming experiences get better soon. ❤️

The quick wheel to interact with players has an option to report them, but as for ignoring them in game it requires typing which is either in the social menu where you can access your friends list and mail and another option that says "ignored" or with "text chat"(accessed by opening the menu in game and pressing the key for text chat) just use your d-pad or left thumbstick to scroll up to their name and select their name, just like opening any other menu option, and then select the option to ignore from the dropdown.

Other than that, if they aren't actually communicating with you through the game and just on PSN while you are in ESO then the PSN block is the only option if they are using that to reach you.

It could also be that Sony is restricting their options so that a PSN block is the only way, because Sony is pretty dumb that way.

Firstly ill start by agreeing that the way many girls get spoken to in games is unacceptable. I've seen this first hand and heard from many female friends the types of things they are messaged. And the issue is there are many communication channels in ESO too. Xbox/PSN msg, in game whisper, zone chat, mail etc. Then visual interaction with emotes etc.

I've never had to block anyone and actually I'm unsure how it even works, and i think that's part of the issue here. If you block on PSN / Xbox would you still be instanced with them? Would you see their emotes? Their text chats, game mails. I don't know and it appears for the OP its not just one person. Likewise a payer should not need to set everything to private / off to avoid abuse, as actually that hinders their wider MMO experience.

What i will say is both PSN / Microsoft & ZOS have a huge corporate responsibility against abuse. Anything like this should be reported on all official channels with screen shots. So a ticket to ZOS, and follow up emails, a ticket to PSN. And to be honest even PM Gina / Jessica here if no joy.

Sadly an angry post on here is just likely to get YOU moderated, but i wish you all success in reporting the wrong doers and getting a resolution.

ZOS' ignore system works perfecty well on PC, so maybe address your complaint to Sony instead.

Thank you so much for your reply ! But sadly you have to be friends with this person to do so ☹️ and reporting the player doesn't get me anywhere, im still being harassed by them when I'm in text chat and they can select my name and send me mail or a whisper.

    Sorry >.<
I'm aware of where I'm supposed to report. I've had to do it multiple times. Being harassed through PS messages is an easy fix with a block.
What I'm trying to understand is why they can't make it this easy for ESO? I'm still being riddled with comments from players I've reported.

So, if you bock the psn profile and still get the messages, then it's a bug or crappy design.

If you refuse to use the given methods and rant on, it's just silly.

I 100% agree with u about the angry post >.< I was so angry and upset. I really just wish I could select a player in text chat or etc and block them, actually block them not just so they can't send me PS party requests or PS messages.

So, from the snappy answer i'll assume they forgot to extend the blocking to text chat, when they added it to the consoles.
Also it would be interesting, if they actually get any information from Sony, if and how the psn members are blocking eachother. I could think that, since this is a feature provided by Sony, there's no influence on ZoS side.

Whe don't have a bug, but a missing feature here.

Bottom line here is that this shouldn't be happening. This is absolutely disgusting and I shouldn't have to log everyday and get a text box or mailbox full of threats, perverted comments, name calling (I'm sure you're familiar with which ones) and there is seriously nothing we can do to stop it. This shouldn't be happening!

Sexual harrassment or harrassment of any kind is uncalled for and the people in this thread who make light of it, are part of the problem.

I am sorry, OP, that you are experiencing harrassment and equally sorry that you can't fully block this person/people. I hope you find a solution because games are supposed to be relaxing and fun, not an annoyance.

I have noticed that this sort of thing seems to happen more on consoles than it does on PC. The console crowd seems to be a lot of immature little boys.

I play on PC but use a controller, so maybe I can point you to the right direction. Press start in ESO, go to Social, and go to Ignored. There, you should be able to add people to your ignore list. They won't able to whisper you, mail you, etc. I'm not 100% sure if it'd work on PS4, but I hope it does.

GitWreKt sadly the consoles don't have a very strong system when it comes to blocking, it's an oversight and issue which comes up from time to time. It doesn't help that consoles support options are always just advice articles and not actually tickets.

I would recommend sending the evidence you have (screenshots, names, dates, times etc.) to both Sony and ZOS.
I don't know how one goes about reporting players to Sony, but for ZOS you could send a PM to one of the community team explaining what's happening.

ZOS_GinaBruno, ZOS_JessicaFolsom or any of the forums moderators should be able to send your information on to where it needs to be. I did see them follow up on some reports via Twitter the other week, so you could always reach out to them there as well and hopefully chat via DM.
