But really, i wouldn't read to much into what zos said about shields. Just wait and see before you make your plans. Imho they shouldn't touch damage shields, just maybe tweak healing ward a bit. The lower health you get someone the bigger healing ward tick they get. Most of the time they just heal to full if you cant get to them and bust the shield in time. Esp with the new black rose resto coming out.. So if anything they should try to work on that, but overall damage shields are fine.

I know its scary when zos tries to work on something but at least wait to see what it actually is first.

Also orc is the only choice for a stam sorc if you want to do everything on it. Stam sorc has no healing passives and orc provides a little bit. Also the speed goes well with major and minor expedition. Also melee damage, stamina, and health. Just a solid race. But i must admit, ive been wanting to try nord lately just for the damage reduction. And i know redgaurd and khajiits are good too but i think orc is the best bet.

Mag Sorc is barely a class anymore. I will never ever trust them to make a good change when they say something like what they said in that news post.

I favor the Imperial. I like the look of the female toons and still good stam resources. Yeah, shield is definitely weaker, but stacking it with Hurricane and Brawler compensates some. I used to struggle with a stamsorc as it was an enigma to me as how the hell can you get good stam-based dps out of a sorc. A stamsorc is a hybrid, and took me a while to figure it out, but once I did, I have loved playing with my stamsorcs. I actually have 4 maxed out stamsorcs for PvE: a 2H/bow, a 2H/S&B (non-tank), a 2H/S&B hybrid tank and, yes, one with 2H/DW. Everyone except the tank are Imperial; whereas the tank is an orc. I love and enjoy rolling around with each and everyone of those different stamsorcs. They are all brutal in everyway; despite the freggling shield. It's ok because most, of not all the time, I am crushing them with the dps faster than they can damage me.

Bosmer (Wood Elf) because they have stamina for days and never run out. Their stamina regeneration is really high.

Khajiit may have cute fuzzy faces, but they run out of stamina quickly, so they're a "no" from me.

Doesn't matter if he's your best DPS, he would still have better DPS if he was Redguard or a few of the other stamina races. He'd also have more stamina sustain as well. There is most definitely a noticeable difference if you use a non-optimal race, since the damage you do with melee weapons scales off your maximum stamina.

Sustain is something you can get easy with practice @SydneyGrey however self heals are not something you can get easy with practise, i prefer khajiit and i never run out of stamina on my stamsorc, i cant remember a single situation where i had no stamina ^^

You didn't even list Argonian. Dude, they are great with Stam Sorcs in PvP. 10% extra self heals, 9% more health, extra Magicka for Dark Deal, Surge, and Streak, and of course the excellent potion passive.

The immunity to Major Defile that procs off of Disease damage is also a nice bonus in some situations.

Though the meta is probably the Orc race, if you wanted to go that route.

They don't have any stamina or DPS bonuses though. You don't want to do any PvE content without max stat bonuses and I intend to do both

PVE: Redguard

PVP: depends; reguard/bosmer for sustain, argonian/imperial for more tanky, orc for somewhere in the middle.

Redguard is hands down best for PVE Though as the sustain is too good to beat. I had an Orc SS for a while (my crafter) and had a hard time keeping my stam up so I rerolled a redguard and largely solved that problem.

If I were to make one strictly for PVP I would likely go Orc or Argonian

I need to learn some sustain tricks from you. I've made nightblades in multiple races (Khajiit, Wood Elf, Redguard and Imperial) and out of all of those, the Khajiit ran out of stamina the fastest. It might have just been my build at fault, though.

@SydneyGrey Nb= easy sustain, u just need 2 make shure that you use leaching strikes on cooldown (but let it expire first to get the maximum amount) i run 1.8k stam recovery on my kitten and with Witchmans Armor i NEVER have stamina sustain problems, i can highly reccommend that set
