Let's compare these Ultimates on a both PvP and PvE Standpoint for Stamina Nightblades.
Incap Strike - Cost -70. High Burst Disease Dmg, Single-Target, 20% increased damage (6 sec), Major Defile (6 sec) and Stun at 120+ Ultimate.
DBoS - Cost - 125. High Burst Physical Dmg, Area of Effect, Hard hitting lingering DoT, Area of Effect stun.
Soul Harvest - Cost -70. High Burst Magic Dmg, Single-Target, 20% increased damage (6 sec), Major Defile (6 sec) and 10 Ultimate for every kill.
For PvP - The stun on
Incap Strike is virtually useless now, as at 120, it is pretty much better to use
DBoS instead at a very similar cost. It hits harder and the DoT outweights the debuffs.
For PvE -
Soul Harvest>>>>>>>>
Incap Strike. There is no competition here, the passive ultimate generation on kill makes it a far more efficient Ultimate inspite of magic damage.
The last nerf basically stuck Incap Strike in a limbo, where it is no longer the best in its own niche of burst on demand in PvP and is badly outdone by Soul Harvest in PvE. Something has to change to balance this. I can understand the nerf was directed at gankers and any ganker nerf seems to please the masses, but at the same time, it decreased its worth a lot in duels, open-world and BG, in all of which it is outclassed by DBoS.
I would like to see Incap Strike given a particular unique use. Or maybe making Soul Harvest the stamina morph, as Magblades pretty much dominate PvE at this point and this would hardly hurt them.
