Help with Mag-templar , my dps sucks

Hello

I have a mag-sorc that kicks serious butt, flawless vMA all day all night.

My mag-templar on the other hand is just awful. Im rocking 5200 spell damage and still only managing to pull 16-18k dps..
What gives?

Im not commited to mag-templar, i could swap to stam...

Im open to advice and guides.. please post.

Sorry, but playing a simple rotation with a decent setup should get you to atleast 30-35k DPS. May I ask what you pull with your "serious butt kicking" MagSorc? Just to determine if the problem is your setup or your knowledge about rotation and stuff.

Note: you can always look for Alcast's guides and builds. just google it

Sorry, but playing a simple rotation with a decent setup should get you to atleast 30-35k DPS. May I ask what you pull with your "serious butt kicking" MagSorc? Just to determine if the problem is your setup or your knowledge about rotation and stuff.

Note: you can always look for Alcast's guides and builds. just google it

If i put on my best DPS sets i can pull 34-36K slightly lag dependant on the dummy. But i usually keep more utilitarian sets on the sorc cause i like to farm vma. Those sets net me about 27-29k on the dummy.

Regarding the templar, oh i am quite sure the problem is my knowledge and probably setup as well, hence why im asking for the help.

I've looked at alcasts mag templar dps builds, and i honeslty hate it.

Here is a more specific question, how could i setup my magicka templar most ideally for vMA?

Well, even if you hate Alcast builds, switch anything that makes you less agile/squishy from his build for something else: bsw instead of siroria, valkyn instead of zaan, more cp into pen, force pulse/crushing for elemental weapon and so on...
