On other races, it makes them look diseased, but some people might like that.

This is one thing I really dislike about new ESO content. Why those new unlockable skins are so *** ugly? vCR skin makes you look like purple Freddy Krueger, werewolf skin looks like its made of rotting wood and now this... Why cant it look like glowing tattos or something? Or maybe like nereid skin with glowing eyes?

I dont like vSP, but I got a skin because it looks nice. I'm not gonna tryhard Murkmire arena achievements because the collectible isnt worth it. And even if I get it eventually while farming weapons, I'm not gonna wear it.

Well I, for one, am perfectly fine with a skin that might only look good on Argonians. So many of the skins, body markings, hats, etc. either ignore our tails completely or don't fit our heads right or some such. It's bad enough that our tails clip through clothes so awkwardly, lol

That said, I can fully agree that, yes, that picture makes it look like those people are weird escaped lizard hybrids.

Dungeon/trial rewards are supposed to be for everyone. Besides, there's already a few skins that only look half-decent on an argonian char, such as flame atro skin or vHoF skin (it can look good on non-argonian chars, but only if they have dark skin, otherwise it looks like their skin is peeling off).

Apologies. I didn't mean to offend, merely that the decision for Betmer regarding cosmetics is often more difficult than for others. Mer can have tattoos, or not, for instance, but we have to choose between tattoos and literally the scaly look of our skin, including color patterns, lol.

Since I've first seen this skin, I've had the suspicion that's what they're for, and we'll have one of the Tsaesci vampires show up as an NPC wearing it, like we did with Nocturnal and her Crown Store outfit...hopefully not as pixelated.

The pattern I've noticed is that they usually put a Redguard on them no matter what the content is about but I guess they're doing that 'cuz they don't wanna receive comments like "ZOS is racist", etc. It's 2018 after all.

Actually, khajiit and argonians have higher level of customization. Human/mer sliders are quite limited.
I agree that there are problems with tattoos, but then again, they are not exclusive to beast races. Humans also cant have freckles and scars + tattoos, for example.

Well, you can make an argonian-themed skin that doesnt look ugly.
Something like datamined Maormer skin. Maybe something that changes your skin color, adds some stripes/bioluminescence spots or something. Maybe it could add horns (many argonians have them). It doesnt have to be ugly.
And yeah, ugly """"rewards"""" are a problem. Most of people like cool or good looking stuff, I rarely see anyone wearing that Falkreath skin. And amberplasm (also argonian-themed btw) is MUCH more popular than Spiderkith... I wonder why.

They could choose a more interesting color combo, so it would stand out even when used on argonian chars. After all, there's many grayish green argonians, so this grayish green skin would be barely noticeable in a crowd. Real life lizards can have brightly colored scales, why not to use something like this or this or this as an inspiration? Then it would look less like a disease and more like an artsy body paint on human/mer characters and would make argonian chars more special.

It also could be a full body tattoo made of argonian symbols (the ones you see in argonian ruins, for example, the puzzle in the ruins of Mazzatun). It could look very cool, and it would work with argonian and khajiit patterns since its a skin. Maybe it could change characters eyes too and add fangs.

I wonder if we will get a Khajit skin from Elsweyr, or a human/elf skin from elsewhere.

According to the lore, some Argonians look almost human-like depending on how much histsap they ingested. Source for this is cited to be "Lord of Souls - the second of two novels written by Greg Keyes, published by Del Rey Books, part of the Random House Publishing Group". I found no page or direct quote for this though. But it's good we get more of the Argonian subraces this way.
