Is Ald Velothi Harbor House available for those without the Morrowind chapter?

As the title says, can a player without the Morrowind chapter purchase Ald Velothi Harbor House?

I would like to get it to a friend, and I can't check this myself, as I have the chapter.

Or, is it possible for me to buy it with crowns and gift it to this person, that still doesn't have the chapter?

Thanks for all possible input! :)

I believe you can buy it without owning morrowind, but I'm not 100% on that. I know the big hlaalu mansion requires an achievement from morrowind so that you definitely can't. You could have whoever wants to buy it/you want to buy it for check the house in their collections and see if it says "available for purchase" down towards the bottom, or they can visit it and check purchase options. Either of those options you should be able to find out :)

I believe you can purchase but only for crowns if you don't have Morrowind, I'm not sure if gifting is available for houses

    Ah, okay :)

Are anyone able to confirm that it is possible send a "gifted" Chapter-house to a player without the Morrowind chapter?

I'm trying to do this behind my friend's back - making it hard to check for myself - but obviously not in a negative manner :)

You may well find you can buy a house in a chapter you don't have, but then be unable to use it until you purchase the chapter/DLC.

I may be able to test this on PTS, as I don't own Summerset. If the game lets me buy an Alinor residence, we''ll know. .

Edit: I could preview, but NOT purchase, which suggests that your friend would not be able to use the home.

As I recall from PTS, you can buy and use Ald Velothi without owning Vvardenfell. The "exit door" to Vvardenfell does not lead to Vvardenfell, though.

Unless something has changed recently, you can purchase ANY home in the game with Crowns, regardless of whether you own the content the house is in. If you don't own Morrowind, you cannot purchase a home there with gold, but you can purchase it with Crowns. And, achievements don't matter when purchasing a house from the CS, they only matter if you want to purchase it in-game with gold.

As for gifting, I don't think houses are giftable at this point.

Also, if you buy a house with Crowns in a zone that you don't own, you can only port to the house from the map, and then when you leave, you'll be back where you were before you ported.

Considering it’s pribably a small number of homes that have been gifts the likelihood one from a DLC zone was gifted to someone who didn’t have access to the DLC zone is unlikely.

That being said we can own a home in a dlc section and still own it after we lose access to the dlc zone.
