Adding more to seasonal events ...

I thought it would be nice to add more activities to our seasonal events like the Witches Festival. Perhaps add a seasonal decor to the buildings, etc. Something that would make it seem that the npcs are in celebration. It would be great if perhaps there could be a unique dungeon or 'haunted house' where there would be a boss unique to the seasonal event. Anyway, just a suggestion to add things that feel like the whole land is in participation and not just visiting that witch at the beginning and then nothing else except rehashing dungeons to get rewards ... not that isn't great tho

Would it be possible to have a truce like in the World War I in Cyrodiil?

i agree, that would be nice. it wouldn't be too hard to throw a few pumpkins out in front of the shops, maybe some totems by the doors. but i was thinking about how long it takes me to decorate anything in my houses, it takes forever. even if i was just haphazardly dropping stuff, i think it would take 5 of me a full workweek to cover the entire world.

so, maybe if instead they just added, like, a tiled no-collision "texture" that drops a few pumpkins every 50 feet or so along any "floor" surface, with a skull every hundred feet, and maybe something similar with witch totems sticking out of some vertical surfaces randomly. maybe the texture is only enabled in anyplace you can ride a mount. sure, some spots would look a little silly, but it'd be a few man/hours instead of hundreds, and might not even need a maintenance to put up and take down.

okay, that's all i got. tell me how dumb it is.

Would be neat, but prolly too much effort for them to code... switching to "witches tamriel" and back to "normal tamriel" without breaking something sounds a tad iffy...

More likely will be furniture to decorate your own house. Or... make one of your spare homes a "haunted house" and have a contest who gets the spookiest design?

That one seems more likely!
Since they could just add the place, then lock it for the rest of the year, right?
Maybe... a public dungeon? Nut just a house, but... a whole "mysterious mist-shrouded village" full of assorted spookyness!

That would not fit the witches festival. As for if it was possible... well, if you find a tamriel-tastic holiday where it would fit...

...personally, I could see it for the New Life celebrations, though we already have a festival for that... possibly Heart's Day, which would be an option... have all PVP disabled, and get people deliver love letters in cyrodil instead, then ERP with someone from another alliance behind a keep or something...? Okay, maybe not the latter...

I just wish they'd change the events each year. They can bring back items from previous years but make the events distinctly different each year. But I guess that would be too much effort.

DCUO has that. They have several 4 man "dungeons" and even a 12 man "raid" that are purely seasonal for Christmas, St Patricks Day, Anniversary Event etc.
