Because adding another arrow to the compass will cause it to slide down the screen and interfere with our game. The code isn't well written, so to prevent this, only 25 quests are allowed. Is there a rationale behind having such a limited number of slots available in the quest logs?
No. This only happens when we log into the game.Does allowing players to have more bog down the server or something?
The solution for improper task management isn't to give people even more room to continue improperly managing tasks. The solution is for people to manage their tasks better. Abandon the quests you can't commit to, finish the ones you can.
In Tamriel's current economy, it helps to not only be a hero, but a dependable hero.
I don't think the approach many of us prefer is improper task management. There's never just one "best" way to organize or accomplish a task. Shouldn't everyone have a chance to play the game the way they best enjoy? It kinda grates that game developers are being that patronizing (if the post up thread that suggested so is correct).
For me it's a matter of wanting to finish all the quests in a zone (for the achievements as well as story progression) and trying to do so with a minimum of running back and forth. It's really easy to miss quests in an area and hard to find some of them later, even with a mod to pinpoint quest givers. I still have a few random exclamation points on my maps in some areas, and I can't find those quest givers or any helpful information online on how start or complete a chain. I probably abandoned a quest that was part of a chain halfway through, and now I have no idea how to pick up where I left off.
Also, it does drive me nuts when npcs are running up to me all the time and saying "Puleeeeze help me," and having to ride on past
