Lol questing is so boring and requires no skill or gear.

What makes you say that? I hear people claim this, but it is simply not true in my experience. There are may kinds of skills. "I push buttons in this perfect sequence and kill stuff" is not the be all and end all of skill.

Because questing doesn't teach you anything or prepare you for vet content. People that only quest in this game are the ones getting kicked from dungeons because of their 3k dps wearing their role play builds.

You want it here it is.

Endgame - "In MMORPG. Used to describe the playing done by people who have reached the maximum progression and/or the most advanced content currently available."

This is the prevailing definition of endgame out there. However, again, my argument was the term is instead often used as a "buzzword" with no set meaning and a broader interpretation than what I have posted above.

So first, you determine whether or not the person is using it as a "buzzword" with no set definition, or if they are referring to the more accepted definition of the term. And then you can develop a response based around that.

To me it means when you get totally bored with the game and stop playing. End of game.

It’s the content you do at the end of the game. Sounds obvious doesn’t it.

The best way to judge it in ESO is it’s the content you choose to repeat.

So for some players they level to max level and then start another character, for them levelling alts is thier endgame.

For others, they get to max level and PvP, so pvp is thier end game.

For some trials will be the content they repeat and that’s thier endgame.

Some like myself run dungeons. That’s my endgame (well along with pvp).

Each players endgame is basically just what they choose to repeat once they have stopped doing new content. It’s not only the hardest as some players still play once they have done all new content without touching hard stuff, they have thier own endgame.

My path to "end game" *after 4 years:

1st Stage: You play and have fun
2nd Stage: You get stronger (Level up)
3rd Stage: You realize nerf and buffs
4th Stage: Something is changing, the world is not the same anymore
5th Stage: You have now a "third eye"
6th Stage: You realizing bugs, bots, cheats (kind of ultimate spammers)
7th Stage: You attempt your first rage quit
8th Stage: Bugs still there after years, your feedback about bugs not fixed
9th Stage: No progression. Get bored. Waiting for next update.
10th Stage: End game. Well done. "run in circles" like Ouroboros

My answer would be - the parts of the game you play when you are done growing your base character power because you more or less reached the apex!

Meaning, when you no longer grind for levels, max and morph skills and skill lines or hunt down your "perfect" set of equipment at the highest possible gear levels... some might also consider hitting the CP cap part of it, though since that one is more account wide, many might see it as seperate...

Generally, those parts of the game that are balanced for the ones who have done all that, and gained the experience to handle their characters well enough that "normal" content is boring for them, so they will include the toughest veteran hardmode dungeons and trials where people go all epeen about leaderboards and stuff...

And yes, as has been said, PvP is always a big part of it, because Cyrodil, IC and battlegrounds are often full of total monsterpower endgame murderdeathkillers that will gleefully stomp your character into the blue respawn screen and then teabag your body while bragging about their big PvPness or whatever is currently the latest fad... :p;)

This game has no actual end game, a new player can get on and it about a week they can have all gold gear cp160. Then the slaving for max xp which keeps increasing. Trials and dungeons is end game if you enjoy them so much you will be running the same ones over and over again trying to be a second faster then the last time. If you consider that end game go for it or you can try to fight the lag in cyrodiil both latency and framerate.
P.S. there is also the same amount of lag in trials most likely you'll drop down to 20 frames and abilities stop working screwing your dps. This game has GREAT FUCKKING END GAME.

ESO does have endgame same as every other MMO, and it’s veteran PvE content. Where “best gear” and “best skill rotation” are objective goals to obtain. ESO is just the likeliest to explode into tiny pixel bits when you try to complete endgame content, or any content for that matter.

End game is not a term that is restricted to an mmo. Just google it.
    endgame
    ˈɛn(d)ɡeɪm/Submit
    noun
    noun: end-game
the final stage of a game such as chess or bridge, when few pieces or cards remain.

Meaning once you've finished all the quests, CP cap, done the base game, all there is left to do is raiding basically as that is content that doesn't really ever finish if you go for scores and such.

Ah, so me being a bit confused about what "end game" means is in part a reflection of the term genuinely having no standard meaning?
Endgame is after level cap. typically farming dungeons for endgame gear and progress trough harder and harder content.
This would be cp160 in ESO.

ESO after one tamriel break with the end game standard. Yes you can now get max level gear and do vet dungeons and trials.
But you can continue to quest and explore earning usefull gear and cp, farm normal dungeons for useful gear and pretty much
do as you did before while classically the game changed.

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
