I think some of the base game zones could use some higher resolution, which is especially obvious on new vs older furnishings. Otherwise the zones generally have unique and interesting landscapes and assets.
However, if you are feeling bored with the graphics, I doubt that's going to cut it.
I think the graphics are actually pretty good now but the edge aliasing where things like your bowstring have this weird oil flowing shimmer effect drives me bonkers.
The weak consoles can't handle it. They can barely handle it now.
I'm running on 4790k and frickin 1080ti and fps drops down to 30s and 20s even in some zones. You want graphics improvement wtf. They should fix the game before anything.
Inside buildings and dungeons run smooth tho.
In the original zones Yes. I have been saying this for a long time now.
ITs not just textures though, it the level of personal detail that makes the world feel alive, design, personal items, flora, fauna, etc.
The DLC and Chapter looks so much better than the vanilla zones its jarring.
It not great for new players who start in wonderfully detailed expansions and then go to vanilla to find themselves in a bowl of Bland.
Graphics are fine. On high-settings, ESO is one of the best looking games out there, imo.

For the most part I do not see the base game zones getting much of an upgrade anytime soon. With the exception of something that can be done system wide without much effort there is no point and no money in it.
My guess is more are voting no for the reason that we want Zos to put the effort and time into what is coming, not what we have done a thousand times and most of us can really care less about now.
Really what we need is an option in the settings to optionally choose between higher graphics at the cost of performance, better performance at the cost of graphics and vice versa.
If you see me anywhere. Know that I am sitting back with a bag of popcorn, watching as ESO burns the goodwill of its player base with practices that only disrespects the players time like it did to me and many others...
If a game does not respect your time, best thing to do is move on from it and find something else.
The graphics are still pretty good in the original areas....they just happen to have got even better with each successive DLC. I think Summerset is the one which stands out the most, that region is jaw-droppingly beautiful.
Hey, for an MMO, ESO has some very nice graphics already. They're pretty good even if it wasn't an MMO.

Well I'm running a 7700K and 1080ti on a 55" 4K TV and I don't have FPS problems in ANY zone... other than Cyrodiil of course. Perhaps those complaining of graphics being upgraded should perhaps upgrade their hardware!! ESO in 4K on a large OLED TV is absolutely STUNNING!

I think the styles of the zones and the armors are fine, from artwork perspective I don't want updated graphics.
I'd be happy however to see some under the hood updates to the graphics engine -
HDR support on PC
better ambient occlusion
better anti aliasing algorithm
higher resolution glows (mostly annoying when approaching a wayshrine, and the blue glow is so blocky)
in some cases the fresnel effect is too strong and unrealistic on clothing
higher poly count on some clutter and furniture
tesselation for walls/ground
more bones on characters and armors for better animations (less distortion)
dynamic hair and clothes
physics based weapon slings while sheated to prevent them from clipping into character/armor and look more realistic
ray tracing support in the future (better reflections and more accurate shadows -- currently there are many shadows missing around clutter in areas and there are noticeable fake shadows, for example you see an ivy hanging from somewhere, a wall a bit behind it, and the leaves pattern on the wall have nothing to do with the ivy... looks all right at first glance tho)
