Templar Aedric Spear Passive Question

Hi, I have a PvE Templar tank, and wondering if there is any point in me trying to accommodate an Aedric spear ability on my front bar to gain the spear wall passive (increase amount if damage you can block from melee attacks by 15 per cent.
I guess the question is is this passive PvP specific?

Both Magicka Templars and Stamplars use it occasionally in PvP for the knockback. In PvE it doesn’t really have as much use ... unless you’re just soloing overland content or something similar.

But, as @Lightspeedflashb14_ESO said, it comes down to your playstyle and what you might already be giving up on your bar.

absorb magic is not really worth a slot these days, is like 3-4% damage mit and only around 10-15 stamia saved per block, you dont use sun shield? that is what tanks are supposed to use.

Thanks. I've always had it active - just wanted to make sure its worthwhile because I slot sweeps and don't really use. So fb I use heroic slash/absorb magic/pierce armour/honour the dead (just incase ) and sweeps for the passive I've mentioned. If passive pointless I'd swap sweeps for structured entropy for more HP, but sounds like worthwhile having an Aedric spear slotted
