Sounds like he did, but when he presses the mount button nothing happens.
My guess is he just hasn't set it to active in the collections window yet. Press 'U', click mounts, click the horse and set it to active. Exit collections window and press 'H'."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster...when you gaze long into the abyss the abyss also gazes into you..."1
