After a couple months break from the game i'm back now.
I was following a topic about the templar/set changes and had an idea about something interesting:

5-1-1 Heavy All Impreg and Tri-stat
2 Skoria / Zaan's(if facing many Nightblades or tanks)
5 Shackle Body
5 Axiom (3 Arcane Jewel with Regen)

High Elf
Vamp
Atronach Mundus
Tri Stat Food

DW Main Bar Nirn and Sharpened with Escapist's Poison:

Extended Ritual (I Like to have Dispell at hand while in offensive)
Structured Entropy
Toppling Charge
Sweeps
Purifying Light
Bats Ult


Nirn Inferno Back Bar (Weapon Damage enchant):

Channeled Focus
Honor the Dead
Dark Flare / Total Dark / Elemental Drain / Repentance / Shards (Flex)
Radiant Oppresion
Vampire's Bane
Soul Assault

So, the idea of the build is to have one bar for Melee Engage and the other bar for ranged combat. Having a nice regen and a decent stat pool.

The Doubts are:
Dual Wield Still a thing or a Lightning / Frost staff will be better?
Can i get away without S&B?

    I'm too much in love with elemental drain and la weaving on any of my magplar builds, both ranged and melee, to not go destro.

    I'd go inferno front, ice/resto/snb back but shackle axiom is a sweet set up

    Run Amberplasm and 3x Spell damage enchants. It’s far more damage than Axiom.

    I’d also use Destro and back bar some defensive or mobility option

    You are already Vamp, so IMO, you gotta get Elusive Mist on your bar some way...some how.

    This, 100%. I use a willpower lightning staff, light attacks hit way too hard to pass up. Ele drain sustain (that rhymes) lets you run more spell damage, AND boosts your damage vs your target, and is free cast. One of the best skills in the game if you can make use of it.

    I also ditched gap close for shock reach, that with vamp bane, jesus beam and soul assault and my magplar can put out serious damage at any range.

    You are already Vamp, so IMO, you gotta get Elusive Mist on your bar some way...some how.

    What this guy said, mist is a must on temp imo.

    If you want decent damage and sustain Go with:

    Skoria/Pirate Skeleton.
    Shacklebreaker
    Amber plasm

    Amber Plasm Juwelry + Gloves and Belt.
    Shacklebreaker Chest, Legs Boots and Nirn Inferno Frontbar and S&B Backbar with Powered+Sturdy.

    Skoria when 5x heavy, Pirate Skeleton when 5 Light.

    My Bar Setup is the following:
    Inferno:
    Jabs, Beam, purifying light, elemental drain, reflective light - Ult: Meteor or Soul Assault

    S&B:
    Honor of the Dead, Mist Form, Entropy, Extended Ritual, Restoring Focus - Ult: Spell Wall or Remembrance when in group

    Pretty solid and works fine for me.

    I'd you wanna have nearly identical regen values amber shackle is better damage with out a doubt. But the option to go more damage is there with axiom. Although it's not a wise choice bc of sustain. Im sure an argonian with witchmothers, channeled, and weakness up could run 3 dmg and apprentice (maybe 1 reduction 2 dmg) and do fine in cp.

    The only thing that doesn't make sense here is Jabs. Everything else about your build screams "ranged" and then you have this short range melee attack. Why not Crushing Shock or Elemental Weapon?
