So, I'd love to have a new NPC guild called Artisans.
NPC there would task crafters with daily writs to make items of
random levels. E.g. from materials of random tier.
So even trash like water and oils for potions and poisons below level 150 or runes like Ta, Jejota, Denata would become useful.
Probability of writs that requires top tier materials should be from very little to zero.
Maybe writs to craft furniture of white or green quality.
The guild should accept only master crafters or those who have at least one maxed crafter skill.
If a player did not max a certain skill, the player can't get a writ related to that skill.
Weapon/armor/jewelry pieces should be required to have a trait, but they should not necessary be set pieces.
Weapon/armor/jewelry pieces should be required to be a random quality from white to purple.
A provisioning writ could require 4 pieces of a random food + 4 pieces of a random drink of quality from white to purple.
An alchemy writ could require 4 pieces of a random portion + 16 pieces of a random poison of quality from white to purple.
The guild should have its base (or at least the main base) in Summerset, since the idea of the guild would perfectly come along with summersetians perfectionism.
Maybe there could be subdivisions in Auridon and two other lands of the other alliances.
Writs are received and turned in at the bases. Rewards are received right there as well.
Rewards could include:
- gold, random mats
- quality improvement mats, style mats
- surveys
- more rarely - master writs, writ vouchers and rare golden mats including perfect roe for provisioning writs, motif pages, motif fragments, recipe fragments, recipes
- filled soul gems for enchanter writs, shipments of random fish for food writs, transmutation geodes
- scrolls of teleportation to the nearest survey location
- furniture
- guild reputation
- guild points
Higher level of reputation may slightly increase the probability of getting a master writ from usual writs and/or increase the probability of getting better mats from hirelings.
Guild points could be used to buy special containers from the guild NPC available only to guild members. That could work similarly to what PVP vendors sells for AP.
Rank (guild reputation) could unlock passives an the new guild skill line like:
- increase chance of getting double mats from nodes by 5%/10%/15%
- slightly reduce mats needed to craft furniture
- reduce mats needed to make CP160 gear by 10%/20% or so
- reduce mats needed to improve gear quality by 1/2
- increase amount of mats found using surveys by 10%/20%
Lore touch: crafted things are meant to go to any place where it would help to make peace and restore order, so the clients are city guards, divine prosecution, those who fight with invading daedra or protect people from the threats from abyssinian geysers, etc.
