It's taken me two years...

I have been playing since launch and due to my real life schedule with work, wife, and a 4 year old daughter I have never been able to be in what you think of a "core" raid group. I've been in raid guilds but only usually get to run in pick up runs.

I've always wanted the maw skin because I think its gorgeous. Even after the HOF skin and vas skin and now the cloud rest skin the dro'mothra has always been the one I wanted. I know I could have bought it or sniped it, but I wanted to earn it legit.

I have ran nmaw a ton and ran vmaw once. We got to rakkhat and had to disband because it was so late. I have been pulled into a rakkhat instance once but it was awful because the dps was low, someone had sold the instance to a conglomerate group of unorganized inexperienced players and we were lucky to get to pad 3.

Last night I got pulled into another instance. The first 2 hours was wiping at pad 3 sometimes pad 3, but I stuck it out and everyone left. I sent some invites and so did the off tank. We wound up pulling off a 5 pad burn. I'm a law enforcement officer and have spent almost 9 years in the field and there's not much that rattles my cage, but let me tell you when he went to the center pad I started shaking and sweating. When he finally died I could barely hold onto my controller lol.

I know this might not seem like a big deal to a lot of you guys but this is what got me into raiding. So now to move on and focus on the HOF skin. Let's hope it don't take me another 2 years lol.

dude honestly even if that trials is older, your first complete is a big deal!!! congrats man ur toon is looking sweet with that skin!!!

Congrats, thats exactly how i felt this weekend when me and my guild completed vAS+2. My hands were sweating and heart racing. I know the feels man. Congrats on your skin and wear it with pride!

Awww! This is an amazing, beautiful post and exactly why I still run in progression cores!

2 weeks ago, I was (again) a fill in healer in a brand new core who 2 weeks previous to that, were getting ruined on twins, cleared twins, and in same run, cleared Rakkhat!

When we closed twins, I said: 'Wow, y'all have GROWN!'

I thought ok; maybe we get through it but most likely we get rekt to new runner fails, or orb lamery just before execute...but we try and see...

Yes - there were some runner fails, kiter fails, and definitely some orb lamery! We wiped I think 3-4,000,000 times and then we got it!

I literally had tears in my eyes and was all 'I'm so f proud of you guys! You've come so far! ❤️ Well done!'

After all these years it's why I still spend my time with progression raids, it just makes my life to get to witness people clearing new (to them) things!

I still remember when one group accidentally broke the HM balls at VAA; and we wiped 2x (too many mini Mage left up) then cleared - and you heard just one little voice go 'Weee deeeed eeeet!'
