Planning in switching to PC , if I purchase summerset from steam (30$) will I have full game or do I need to purchase the base game as well.

Also I have ESO plus on Xbox , I'm taking that doesn't apply to PC ?

Base game is included with Summerset purchase, so long as you do NOT buy the Summerset Upgrade

From what everyone says, dont buy it on steam if possible! Think it will say on the pack if base game is included on anything you buy, although i'd be led to believe you will still need purchase the base game and that Summerset pack, might be wrong, check the small print ;)

ESO Plus is per device. So your Xbox / PS4 / PC ESO+ Subs are all separate.

Don’t purchase via steam. Horrid choice. Steam users have have multiple days they couldn’t log on during the last couple months. At least one period was pretty extended.

    Cut out the middle man.

I will echo others: Welcome to PC! It really is Superior in every aspect of the game, but for the love of god, please avoid Steam at all costs. You will regret it.

The $30 sale on steam is just for the upgrade so you still need the base game which is the $40 option. I know steam has had some major login issues not to long ago, some guildies were having a hard time logging on.

So good luck with taking that risk lol there is a way to separate from steam if you encounter any issues. Just have to make a ticket with customer service to separate if they continue to have log in issues in the future.

I switched myself from console in april and just bought it through the ZOS website. Also no plus is separate on both platforms unfortunately.

Don't regret switching though, was hard leaving everything i invested in since console launch. But after awhile the pro to being on pc surpassed the con. Enjoy man!

If you want morrowind too maybe buy the standard edition and then add the Summerset digital upgrade - though you will get vvardenfell zone as dlc if you take eso+.

In fairness to steam there is no evidence at all to support the notion that the login issues affecting steam users were valves fault. There is no ‘steam version’ of the game and the problems have been with the ZOS server not handling authentication with steam at login after game maintenance and patch updates.

Having said that why add the extra layer of login by buying from steam when ZOS implements it with varying success?

Your ESO plus will not be valid on pc if you have it on console unfortunately. Also I think it should say in the game info on steam if it needs you to purchase the base game or if it comes with it. (it will say "Requires base game" above the purchase options/description )

    This is not true.

As someone who switched from xbox to pc the biggest learning curve is playing without constant lag. I still dont use addons except kill counter in pvp. Remember when miats was a thing? I used to get hate whispers saying I use it. When I was lower cp people would tell me I'm using CE or macros.

If you're a pvper you're gonna have a blast on pc.

As far as eso+ you'd need to get it seperately for pc I believe.

Don’t do steam! And I doubt that anything you purchased for Xbox will transfer to the Windows version.

Continuing your tradition of giving awful advice I see.

OP, good decision. The game is better on PC in a hundred ways. Performance, look and feel, the UI, responsiveness, add-ons, mouse and keyboard, market prices for goods, Discord/TS instead of awful in-game voice chat.

It really is like playing a whole new game.

Nothing transfers, though, not even your ESO+.

Same. I have it on PC but, I haven't played it in forever because I put in way too much work on console.

Great decision. Once you go PC you never go back! The game has built in controller and UI support if youre a gamepad user.

As others have said, don't get the steam version and purchase it straight from the ESO website.

no not bad advice litterally talking from experience theres better players on console to hang with. the only reason i switched was my family played the pc version. if not for that id stay on console. the servers are meh right now but you still get the better quality play time and more accurate game experience on console. if anything youd especially be better off sticking with xbox i came from ps4 which is not the better quality but xbox practically is coming forward so much its just better out of the two. but console vs pc id choose console any day if i could afford to have 6 different consoles each for a person in my house.
