Sounds of nonexistent Ocean Waves

As a Quality of Life update, could you guys maybe kinda sorta find a way to add visual waves breaking along the shoreline of Sea water? I love the ambient sounds but when I hear massive waves breaking on the coast but see very flat water just sitting there, it's conflicting.

    This was mentioned back in beta lol . Something about the engine didn't allow it sort of like the capes .

    Not even like semi-crappy 2D animated textures? The water mesh itself doesn't need to move as an animated texture can create the illusion on top of it.

    You sure that's a thing? I've had those moments before too but that's because they're singing through walls.

    Adding a crown store option would allow players to control and modify wave placement and pathing in their housing instance.

    But between clipping and greatly reduced physics, waves just aren't an attractive overland addition.

    In general, I love the ocean sounds. However, some of them in this game are extremely loud, and not really.... much like ocean sounds.

    And the lack of waves is pretty disturbing, yes.

    And yet, you can walk around the new Psijiic house and hear the whisper quiet million gallons per second waterfalls if you listen very closely. I found myself cranking up the roller on my headphones because the sound seemed so muted for the volume of water. Something I could never unhear and definitely steers me away from purchasing it.

    I saw a friend's screenies (lots of them) of that house. Underwhelmed. SO not my thing, but I suppose the water not making the right sounds would be unhappy-making for those who do love it.

    The sound of flowing water is VERY calming to people, it's like a white noise to those who are uncomfortable with silence. I love going to a stream or waterfall.

    There is a reason why only 2 games have ever used it (ESO and SWTOR).

    There is a reason why only 2 games have ever used it (ESO and SWTOR).

    ESO does not use the engine of SWTOR (Hero engine). ESO only used it during development, so that the artists had something to work with while the actual engine was still being developed.

    Seems easy enough, they can create an animated furnishing that loops moving waves of water then sell that to us.
