How to obtain the Crafting Motif and Style Material:
Motif: Chapters can be found within Trophy Vault chests. They can also be looted from chests all across the Imperial City and Imperial Sewers. Your chance at acquiring a chapter is dependent on your Tel Var multiplier - the higher the multiplier, the higher the chance at obtaining a chapter. Having a 4x multiplier when looting grants a 100% chance at obtaining a chapter. The entire book also has an extraordinarily small chance to drop from Imperial City District Bosses.
Style Material - Charcoal of Remorse: Purchaseable from a vendor for 50 Tel Var stones each. This vendor can be found within your Alliance's base in the Imperial Sewers. Ashes of Remorse (raw material) is sometimes awarded as loot for completing random Undaunted dailies using the Group Finder.

Yeah its different, its not mixed up though daedric looks closer to Oblivion's daedric armour whereas Xivkyn is more like the Skyrim one.

Xivkyn is worn by xivkyn (xivilai+dremora hybrids) and high ranking dremora, whilst daedric is worn by low ranking dremora. Xivkyn (the enemies) also seem to be closer to the dremora you see in skyrim, so maybe they phased older styles out or something.

There is also dremora armour coming soon, that looks a lot like the morrowind+oblivon armours. So who knows, maybe they all just have a variety of traditional+given armours. In which case, they should rename the original daedric to something that is less of a catch all term

Daedric armor is a base game motif. Xivkyn came with Imperial City.

There's always a big difference in design and quality between the base game motifs and the motifs that came later.

I like my Xivkyn light armor - it looks like a comfortable sweatshirt that someone's mom sewed reflective patches on in the 80s.

Also, given that ESO came "before" Oblivion and Skyrim there is always a chance that as time went on the styles were adopted by different factions and enemies as the lands around changed.

The Dark Lord Molag Bal can change clothing styles on underlings on a dime ... and not care what the manflesh populace thinks about it.

The new Dremora motif is coming in October by the way ... which should mix things up a bit.
