During the recent promotional period I saw ESO advertised through Steam so I downloaded (for free) and played for a few days. During this time, I saw a button (silly me) that linked my Steam account to ESO, but had no idea what that would do to me. After I liked what I saw during the trial, I decided to commit to the game. I deleted Steam from my PC and purchased an ESO Plus Membership and the Summerset Digital Collection directly from the ESO website. After downloading the game from my account at ESO, I can no longer login to the game. I get a message saying it failed and I need to try logging in with my Steam account. I am not playing ESO from Steam and have no plans to do so. I need to delink my Steam account from ESO so I can play ESO without Steam installed on my PC. Note, I never purchased ESO from Steam... just downloaded the trial during the promotional period. My only purchase was through the ESO website.
Edit: I did submit two tickets to ESO Tech Support (180817-002861 and 180818-002557). I submitted the 2nd since I never received a confirmation email that I'd submitted the first support ticket. Didn't get a confirmation email after the second support ticket either. I'm in limbo here and unable to play, so I'd appreciate any help I can get.
Thanks a ton,
Doug
