What Internet speeds do you play eso on?

Hi all just wondered what Internet speed is required to play eso on I'm used to play on a 200meg fiber line with no problems, but I've moved house and the only net I can get is 10-17 meg download with a 7 up load just wondering if that would be enough to play on eso on and help would be appreciated as I don't want to take a contract if it's not going to work, many thanks for time spent xd

It's doable. Played with 4mbs for 2 years.

Play on a wireless 4g connection, speed is 50mb/s but my ping is usually about 100ms, latency is a lot more important than massive bandwidth, I think even 2mb/s would be good enough for gaming as long as your ping is low enough.

Recommended bandwidth speeds of 10mbps down and at least 1mbps up for online games. You should have more than enough. Of course the bottleneck is the weakest link...lol ZOS ISP or servers who knows.

the speed that your isp tells you is your link to your local exchange.... not your link to the eso server.

Something like 230ish something. Not sure if it's MpS or what ever that means. Sadly I don't see a difference when I was at 100 MpS. I have a ping about 120 to 150 most times.

1gig upload and 1gig download with fiber never really had a problem except when it's a bug or glitch on there end. Xbox NA

Satellite. Not good. 999+ ping all the time. Download I average 1 gig an hour. I'm not posting the supposed numbers, because over the 13 years I've had wildblue, I've found the numbers are something they pulled out of the ether.

ADSL 2+ 20mb although being Aussie its more like 6mb.. And high ping very much makes hardcore dungeons and pvp aspects unplayable and out of my league.

I was on 3 mbps dsl until last week. Now on 100 mbps cable and there is no difference with this game.

0.3 mb dl from my cardboard box outside the empire state building. I've been picking up some signal for a couple days now.

In all honesty, you'll get lag with or without a fast connection in many cases.

Probably true.... but I'm looking into a T1 - because right now, I'm paying over $250 a month for 'net, tv, and phone ('net and tv are dish, phone is landline, cell phone doesn't work here at the house so no help there - and even if I paid an outrageous price for a new SUV with a hot spot.... well, it's satellite, ain't? *sigh*) and a T1 might cost me a bit less or a bit more.... but faster and no bw limit would make it really worth it.

Download speed (beyond a certain point) doesn't affect your ping.

I have 1 Gbit internet. I average 120 ping in ESO.

I had the same ping with 25 Mbps internet too.

Normally play on 150 mbps, sometimes I use the wireless and it's maybe 12 Mbps. Anything less than that and it becomes unplayable for be. Don't know how the rest of you manage, I had terrible internet for most of my life until about 4 years ago when I moved. Never again...

14 Mbits down/about 3 Mbits up. And yeah, it is pretty much dial-up, still goes over our ancient phone wire. We have a fibre box about 18" away from our back fence but Virgin Media... meh. I'll stick with slow.

I was playing with 6Mbps download and 700Kbps upload... it was the upload that killed me but it was still playable... I played at that rate for three years. A couple months ago upgraded to 25Mbps download and 2Mbps upload and it's definitely better.
