mag DPS: Highelf or Dark Elf for which class

Dark Elves have a 7% damage bonus for fire damage and 2% for ice and lightning vs a straight 4% bonus for all 3 damage types.
That makes Dark Elves great Dragon Knights since they produce a lot of fire damage on top of the inferno staff skills. Looks like Templars get some advantage from being a Dark Elf as well. But what about Warden, Night Blade and Sorcerer? Will you be better of as an Altmer for these classes?

My understanding is currently Dark Elfs with inferno staffs produce more dps than High Elfs with every class expect as Sorcerer pet builds due to the Daedric minions doing lighting damage.

While no Nightblade skills deal fire damage their top damage contributor is light attacks. Fire Blockade, Fiery Rage, fire enchants, burning status effect, Skoria/Zaan/Grothdar are all buffed by Dark Elves fire damage passive. Not to mention that High Elves regen passives are of little use to Nightblades since they can sustain a full light attack rotation. This is of course from a PvE perspective.

Dark elf:
9% more max Magicka , 6% more stamina
7% more flame damage , 2% more shock damage
0% more Magicka recovery

High elf:
10% more max Magicka
4% more flame and shock damage
9% more Magicka recovery

Basically for dps dark elf’s get 3% more flame damage but 1% less Magicka which effects all skills not just flame damage. And high elf’s get 9% more Magicka recovery which means more skills being used and less heavy attacks which equals more real world dps. So I prefer high elves
