Yea the free gems are fine when the crates are free too but those who bought them ought to know about this bug

I got 3 nix-hound already and 2 Monocular.
This, plus a collection of useless potions and the gold tapestry which I have no use for and thus converted to gems.
I would be fine with this if we could spend crown gems to acquire the dwarven crates' rewards in crown store.
But we can't.
And since I really don't want anything from psijic crates, I'm just sitting on a pile of useless crown gems.

Not a single hound for me. Got a repeat green guar, a repeat monocle, and a snug snood cap. Oh and a banner worth 33 gems. Otherwise just consumables.

I have to be the only one who never got a Nix Hound during last Dwemer season, even though I desperately wanted one. At the end I even ended up buying one for gems...

I have not opened my free crates yet (I always wait until they are complete to open in one go), but if I get some Hounds now at least I know that MY Nix Hound was a really wanted one and not one of the million free Hounds that are thrown around.

So this is anectdotal - but I posted earlier times in the thread too - so I want to return with my updated experiences.

Firstly, I have opened every single free crate so far - and get my final one tonight. Not only this, but I also purchased 34 crates myself because I was after a specific Apex (didn't get it, but got 500 gems so next season I'll get something nice "free")

Anyway, out of all these crates I managed to land:
-the Double Nix Hounds I posted earlier in the thread
-4 more Nix Hounds across ALL other crates both paid and free.

I would say that maybe I'm lucky - but 6 hounds out of 45 crates is VASTLY better than what I experience when Dwarven Season first came around back around Morrowind launch (back then I purchased 60 crates and atleast half or more had a Hound in them).

I would like to believe they tweaked the drops as stated, because it does seem that in the longhaul it is in fact improved - however this is only my personal experience. We probably have a bit of PTSD from the first time around so immediately we see hounds in our free crates and think nothing changed - but in my case the numbers are quite different form before.

In fact for me - the item that repeated the most times, this time around, was the Dwemer themed eye piece thing, which I already had. I must have landed it in 20 crates this time around.
