Battleground instances stuck

It happened sometimes in the past, but it was quite rare to queue for a random battleground and to be ported in a stuck instance.
After last patch situation is noticeably worse. This evening it happened to me 5 times in a row (3 times in a row on the same alt!).
Everytime I had to leave the instance and get a deserter penalty.
At a certain point, I logged out, logged in with another toon, queued for a Random Battleground and I was ported in the exact same instance (I noticed the players name)!
So I had to get the deserter penalty twice with two different toons. Very annoying.
I don't really know what is happening. The bug occurs as follows:
1) You queue for a battleground
2) You end up in an instance where there are (e.g.) two players for each team.
3) The instance is stuck and nobody else can join, even if you wait 10 minutes. The match never start.
4) As soon as one of the players leaves the instance, he is immediately replaced with another one.
5) Rinse and repeat, this goes forever (waited about 20 minutes just trying to figure out what was happening)
Looks like the instance counts the wrong number of players in it, so it reach a certain points where does not accept players anymore as if it was full, while the real number of players are in reality not enough to start the match.
Happened to me 5 times today, I have to say the last time I was quite pissed off.
