So with eso+ getting more crowns what happens to people who pre paid for 6 months? Do they get the extra crowns or no?

Hope so because my Steam just renewed my sub couple of days ago.

I could be wrong but I highly doubt it. You will most likely get the amount that was in effect when the renewal was made.

I'm guessing no extra crowns for those of us who have already paid. You get the crowns when you make your payment so we already got the crowns we are owed.

We don't know yet. I am guessing is we will not get the "top off". I am in the same predicament. I have a 6 month subscription. I guess the way it goes is, since we already agreed to accept all the crowns up front, in getting the package, that is what we agreed to. While it sucks for us not much we can do since we agreed to it.

We don't know if Zenimax will give a top off or do something about it. Not sure if it Zenimax would do something about it because it's a case by case bases. Thing is this is all done on computer and should be easily done to give a "top off" for us, but Zenimax doesn't have to do so.

Would be a great PR move for Zenimax if they have done so. So since we don't have a Yes or No answer yet, all I can do is give Zenimax the benefit of the doubt and they are looking into how to do so. If they see it can't be done or too much to do, then they will give the answer. I just hope they are staying silent so not to drum up anger. Better say now so we the "well it sucks" but the silence just makes it seem more sleezier. It's a damn if they do, damn if they don't.

No. It doesn’t count. That’s what I’m going with. When would they determine the cut off? People who resubbed a week ago get in on it? 2 weeks ago? A month ago? No it’s from this point forward that’s the only reasonable thing to do.

What they *should* do is when the loyalty rewards come back they should give it to people who have ALREADY been subbed for the requisite amount of time. So if next month they say “6 month subs get prize A and 12 month subs get prize B” then those of us who have been subbed for 2 years without loyalty rewards should automatically get both prizes.

It's not ex post facto on the current I think. I'm in a similar possibly problematic position because of my sub schedule.

Apparently it's a 10% increase, which isn't monstrous, but hey, I'll take it. Once it drops I'll sub for six months at a time. Well, I won't be doing that until October anyway - which is between my site reseller bill and the holidays....

I wouldn't mind some more specifics on the ESO Plus 'buff' and what exactly is happening with it.
That said, if you call and order a pizza, let's say a large for 10.99 on Friday and then find out on Saturday they are running an extra large pizza for 10.99, do you really expect you'd be able to call them up and say hey...I want that pizza yesterday to have been an extra large? Would I complain if they prorated my current ESO Plus subscription with the new perks? Nah..
Will I complain if they don't? Probably not..
When do we know more about the changes to ESO Plus? Thanks.

Lol. A 10% increase is a joke. If it was double I might have subbed to eventually get the mundus stones for my house, but I guess I'll just be using crowns on DLCs only, that way the 16k I have left from last christmas sale will last me a while...

    Thanks for the info though.

Your pizza analogy doesn't work, because the issue isn't about yesterday's pizza, it's about the pizza you paid for yesterday that will be delivered next weekend, and the weekend after that, and each weekend for the next 6 months. Just putting it the way that you did shows that you don't understand the issue, so I'll explain it in more detail, both for you and for the people who also don't get it but didn't post.

The actual info they released is:
"With the release of Murkmire, members will now get 1650 crowns per month, and access to exclusive offers in the #ESO Crown Store including a free item every month.
Watch for more details this Fall!"

The release date for Murk isn't known yet, but let's thought experiment this out for you.

Pretend you sub for 6 months at a time, and it renews on halloween. You have paid for subscriber benefits for the months of november, december, january, february, march, and april. On halloween you receive your 9000 crowns, that's 1500 for each of those 6 months. BUT, the Murk releases on november 1, the very next day. So the people with 6 month subscriptions that renew then receive 9900 crowns, 1650 for each of the exact same months as you got 1500.

You both subscribed for november, but you got fewer crowns. Same for december. And january. And so on. You both paid the same amount for subscriber benefits of november, december, january... but you are getting less than the standard amount of crowns for those months because of when your pre-payment happened.

I expect you get it now.

I also expect that when the event happens, people can put in a ticket for the amount of crowns they should get from the increase, and receive them. It's fashionable to bash zeni for anything and everything, but they are actually reasonable if you act like a normal human.

Did they say this somewhere ? Please link this to us if true.
I was expecting an increase from 1500 to 2000. 10% more aka 150 crowns, will not convince anyone to buy this.
I thought, ZoS finally wants to convince those who still refuse to sub for some reason. 150 crowns won't change their mind.

Unlikely to be retro since it means calculating remaining time to figure out crowns to award. For those that recently renewed for a 6 month sub they will certainly be short changed. The shorter periods are really not as big of a deal.

Honestly, I don't know what kind of extra perk ZOS could have added to ESO+ that wouldn't have the forum pull out their pitchforks in anger. A slight increase to monthly crowns probably seemed like the safest choice to them.

But then again, I don't ever recall seeing a topic where someone said "Gee, I want to sub to ESO, but the monthly crowns are too low!"

So I'm not so sure 150 extra crowns is gonna sway more people to sub.

Has there been any official word on whether the Crown allotment will be retroactively 'adjusted' for existing accounts once the increase kicks in later this year? (My 6 months of ESO+ is set to renew in a few days, so I'm a bit concerned.)
