I kinda like the glow. A toggle would be nice.

Then ZOS added a permanent glow, and people complained.
Now they only glow when drawn, and people complain again.
I think this is a fine compromise (only thing better would be a toggle). I think the glow effect is pretty ugly and low-res, so I'm glad it's hidden outside of combat.
This was a BUG that needed correction, how nice was one of my characters all blue-themed with a giant orange-glowing staff on the back.

Also, I think many here do not understand the difference between VFX effects, such as the fire/lightning when you draw your weapons, and the lingering MoL glow - and the low-res, blurry swirling enchant glow on your weapons, that reflect the enchant on it. Those are two completely different things, and have nothing to do with one another.
THIS is how the weapon enchant looked before Wolfhunter:
Contrast that to the picture of my outfit above, with no glowing weapon enchants.
I'm all fine with a toggle to toggle it completely on or off, but the fact of the matter is that for the entirety of this game's life up until Summerset, weapon enchant effects have ALWAYS been toggled off when the weapon is not wielded, the time between Summerset and Wolfhunter is the anomaly where weapon enchant effects were ALWAYS turned on. We're basically just back to the state of visuals we had before Summerset, so while you may complain about that if you will, they did fix what was a bug from Summerset up until now.
