For a "prologue" questline, the time when it actually hits the servers, it will already be time for the Murkmire DLC, unless they have postponed it for some reason.

Prologue questlines usually go in a few weeks before the DLC drops.
Given that Murkmire likely won't be out until mid to late October, they have a little while yet.

This is different, the former prologues, for CWC and Summerset, have been one-off quests that you could finish in an hour or so, and get a memento in the end.
As we saw on the PTS, with Murkmire they are introducing prologue dailies, that you can do like the other dailies, with a chance for parts of that pet runebox. And to finish the prologue achievement and get a title, it requires 120 dailies completed, even if you can do more than 1 per day.
So that's still only a couple of months, if one wishes to finish the prologue dailies before the actual DLC.
A complete set of Daily Quests with their own Quest Rewards and Achievements, including the chance to get a brand new Murkmire pet.
Each Daily Quest can be completed once each day.
You can earn Daily Rewards and Achievement progress for each completion.
The luminescent Swamp Jelly Pet can be obtained by acquiring the seven parts of its Runebox and combining them.
These Runebox Fragments can be obtained by completing daily quests for the Cyrodilic Collections company in Shadowfen, unlocked after completing the quest "The Cursed Skull".

Wait, what?? 120 dailies?
I gave this PTS cycle a miss, that seems a little bit insane!

Yes. This isn't just some 1 hour prologue quest, it's a bunch of dailies that you have to do just like any other daily fetch quests. They give some cheap rewards and Shadowfen zone sets, as well as a chance for a part of the pet runebox. But in order to "complete" the dailies and get the title and achievement, it requires 120 dailies done, which is why it would have been nice to get going with this update, instead of starting right before the actual DLC release.

Nope, 150.

I think real life demands and a desire to do other things in the game with the time available may mean that I miss out on this title
