Mounting in Combat -- still bugged

From Patch Notes:
"Gameplay

When attempting to mount while in combat, an alert will now display stating "You cannot mount while in combat.""

Here's the thing: The entire way that's handled is broken.
If I'm in a group and someone ELSE gets attacked like, I should still be able to mount.
If I'm in attack range of something that's coming after me, and I wayshrine out, when I arrive at the new wayshrine, I should still be able to mount.
If I ride halfway around through the city, the thing that tried to attack me OUTSIDE the city, should have it's attack cancelled.

I'm guessing that this is on a timer rather than being based on proximity.

    I suspect that things like casting heals or using abilities like Streak keep you in combat, although there actually isn't fighting going on at all. An example of this is streaking away and being kept in combat while the zerg just mounts up to chase you. Every Sorc has encountered this at some point I would guess.

    Yeah that sounds like it would be a pain. As well as defeating the purpose of an escape spell. However this particular bug isn't really just for a sorc. It's for everyone and it happens in a variety of different ways.

    Cauterize will often keep you in combat until (I think) everyone who got a heal from it is out of combat.

    ZOS should change that awful set where you dismount into enemies so that you can simply mount during combat. Then maybe someone would actually use it. Toss on the ward of cyrodiil's set mounted speed bonus that just got removed despite literally no one wanting that change and it almost becomes a viable utility set.

    Imagine the rage you'd feel if an opponent simply mounted and left during a fight. Good times.

    Nope you guys are wrong on all accounts in my opinion. We should be able to mount whenever the *** we want, regardless if in combat. If I want to get myself killed mounting in front of ppl attacking me that's my business; same goes with swapping skills and weapons.

    yeah do that please, being stuck in combat is one of the most annoying bugs in cyro...there were times when I couldn't mount for an hour...

    Yeah it used to be Templars that had this issue now it's also wardens

    I read your post and immediately thought back to playing Oblivion back in the day.

    "You cannot fast travel when enemies are nearby"

    Only thing around are deer. This always bugged the hell out of me. Had to move away from the deer to travel.

    My guess it is has something to do with the Netch. I recast all the time and I get stuck in combat. Wayrest Sewers is one of the more annoying places since you can't through a door because of it.
