Passives like dunmer but with shock would be perfect. Small problem only is that so far they were presented as antagonist in multiple zones and replaying those zones as Maormer could feel a bit odd. ZOS would make lot of money for selling new meta race for sorcs which are half the game population already

idm if they add new races, it is pretty common in mmo to add races/classes as the game ages. Maormer do make appearances. Think in skyrim you see a few.

to me more customization is always a good thing.

I think you don't, only ESO has Maormer, they are mentioned only in the Elder Scrolls series. Ofc nothing except Sony to stop you modding them into those games.
ESO has already jumped the lore shark with vampires running around embarrassing themselves as if they were always everyone's best friend without an evil Mer race that in the latest DLC caused all kinds of spoilerish murder on Summerset cos green Romeo had a tryst with blue Juliet. It seems the desire not to even tolerate the existence of each other goes both ways. If we then allow Maormer to be running around we might as well allow anyone on undead mounts with mushroom crabs following them wearing pink shorts and a sorting hat....oh wait....

i think Zos will add new race in text chapter.
Hope it will not be maormers, because there are more interesting races for that like Dwemers, Tsaeski, Falmers, Lilmothiit

Dwemer are gone(unknown where/when they are), Tsaeki are possibly a Human race (not halfsnakes) not sure if interesting, Falmer are degenerated (and the few that should still be around live in seclusion) and limothiit were possibly whiped out by the Knahaten Flu.

psijic order was also seem to be lost

I don't think it would be such a great idea to add more races. But if it ever happens, make it payable or obtainable via ingame successes because we don't need an invasion of the new race.

No, don't add Maormer. I'm OK with new races being added if they are lore friendly and fill a gap in the meta game. Maormer are just far too much like High elves to bring anything really new or interesting to the game.

I'll be content with pairing my oracle eyes with the new Maormer fish skin once that gets released. If someone calls me a High Elf I'll pretend that I'm using illusion magic to hide my true form. Although, I wish there was an option to combine any of the 4 appearances of vampirism with collectible skins. Then I could use the stage 1 appearance with the Maormer fish skin to really look genuine.

    • Parse Food for PvE:(DPS) Ghastly Eye Bowl (increases Max Magicka by 4592 and Magicka Recovery by 459 for 2 hours).
    • Gold/Purple Food for Sorc PvP and Meme Tanking:(PvP) Clockwork Citrus Filet (increases Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406 [useful if stage 1 vampire], Max Magicka by 3080, and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours). Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

Orcs and Imperials used to be "enemies" back in TES:Arena and TES-II:Daggerfall. Just sayin.
Imperials -are- enemies at this time as well, as anyone who played through Bangkorai or Reapers March will attest to. But we can still play a deserter from the imperial lands if we pay the crown store unlock... I really see no reason why we could not do the same for a maormer who for some reason got exiled from pyandonea (maybe for thinking their fellow maormer are hatemongering jerks? We -do- know from a certain summerset quest that there are exceptions to the "maormer live only to hate all altmer" rule, yes?)

Unfortunately those are out of the question, since they have gone extinct for all practical purposes ages ago - long before the war of red mountain, the disappearance of the dwemer and the transformation of chimer into dunmer.

Sorry just found this, no, just no. It's possible you were using mods. Or something else. Look, who has found the three sea elves in Summerset somewhere up in the mountains debating how to get back to where they are supposed to be (one of the invasion fleets). Absolutely hilarious and heartbreaking. They discuss fancy dress (sarcastically ignoring their other differences), getting to the sea and killing one of them (the fancy dress guy) to use his rotting and bloated corpse as a floating raft and so on. If Altmer barely tolerate other Mer, they are positively homicidal to Popeyeandoneans. These three castaways are certain that their lives are measured in hours and minutes now.

I don't think that we need a new race specifically. But maybe we could have a skill-line based around the Maormer.
I'm not sure how realistic it would be in the timeline, but maybe some of the Maormer defected and made it to the main cities and can teach some of their skills to others.

You get the Maormer 'illusion' visual appearance and a new mini skill-line focused on water / storm abilities.
A Sea Serpent ultimate that would heal / buff allies but damage enemies would also be cool.

Just 3 skills and an Ulti maybe with a couple of passives, to add to your existing build.
I know it wouldn't really work lore-wise though, but we can always dream :)

    No, don't add new races

I voted "No" because adding any new race (Including Maormer) does not fit in with the history of Tamriel - in the way it has been revealed to us so far.

Each of the 3 Alliances has a story in the background as to how it came in to being and there is a reason behind its exsitence. The Maormer and other races did not play a part in these formation stories and therefore, they do not belong in any Alliances.

There are also 3 Races in each Alliance, so introducing just one new race would unbalance the whole game.
