Advancing Yokeda (Berserker) Bow - does it exist?

Can anyone confirm if the Advancing Yokeda Bow can actually drop in Hel Ra Citadel?

A few of us have been trying to farm it and nobody we run with has reported ever seeing it.

Since that set is melee damage, did it fall victim to the Set changes that removed ranged weapons from sets that only procced on melee damage? Like the Viper bow that doesn't drop anymore.

From the Patch Notes for One Tamriel (under Itemization Changes):

"Sets that grant a bonus to melee damage will now drop more intelligently (i.e. a set with melee damage will no longer drop with a bow or stave)."

I never saw it drop. Been farming that as well since I don't have vMA boy yet.

I'm not sure, sorry. I just checked the bank and saw I had one. I'd guess I got it a few months ago.

Advancing Yokeda bows were removed from the game quite a while ago. They exist, but they won't drop anymore; ever. Use a master or maelstrom or asylum bow. (you might want to reconsider your choice of using a bow with these sets in the first place)

The Ravaging bow was also removed from the game for the same reason. That reason being that bows are not a melee weapon, and these sets proc on melee damage. So, a bow from these sets will never proc anyway....even if these items were still in the game, you wouldn't want to be using a bow of these sets.

In most cases, you really wouldn't want to be using a bow with these sets anyway. You want to use a melee weapon at all times. So go dual wield and two hand or two hand and S&B. That way you're always doing melee damage.

Don't recall seeing a 2 handed weapon being used in a trial before. Guess I'll have to rethink my gear.

Makes sense. Same time they removed Destruction Mastery resto staves and the like from dropping.

Even if one did drop would it be useful? Few would have a melee skill on the bow bar.

I think it would be used for a Bow-Bow build front bar, with Maelstrom back bar. Relequen would provide the melee damage without needing melee skills. I’m guessing this build was not considered when the Advancing Yokeda bow was removed though.

I would suggest using Leviathan, TFS/spriggans or just hundings if you don't have a VMA bow. The whole reason a single barred set is meta is because you are trying to get the buff that way due to fitting in a VMA bow...

It's usefulness has nothing to do with the subject at hand. Whether it dropped or not was the subject.

It's usefulness has nothing to do with the subject at hand. Whether it dropped or not was the subject.

Whether or not it drops is irrelivent if it's useless to begin with

Personally I get the same numbers using leviathan than advancing yokeda. I use leviathan over it actually. Especially when soloing on stamsorc. But use a agility bow on backbar until you get the vMA bow would be best advice I think.

Why are you farming for a weapon that has no actual use in the first place?

I'm curious. It feels like there's no reason to have useless weapons. Honestly I think we need more useless weapons removed. Like any ice staff that isn't a part of a tank set, since ZOS seems very heavily inclined to make it a tank weapon

My point was that they shouldnt. Thank you for proving my point (also DW magicka set weapons as well as SnS magicka set weapons have their uses in PvP. Not Mother's Sorrow, particularly, but it's not like the AY bow where there is no practical way to use it at all)
