Can you skip Clockwork City and go from Morrowind to Summerset?

I bought the collection while it was on sale and I've finished Morrowind but unfortunately the collection didnt come with Clockwork City, I've been told Clockwork City comes before Summerset and I will eventually play Clockwork City, after it goes on sale or during another free ESO+ event, so i dont want Summerset potentially spoiling it if I just start playing Summerset now

Should I avoid going into the summerset content before playing Clockwork City, or are they pretty self contained
I decided to do some guild quests before doing anything else and realized I would have to go to summerset to do the psijic order stuff

Also how long is Clockwork City compared to Morrowind, thinking about just getting ESO+ for a month to have 2k total crowns to buy it, wondering if its worth it

You can do it in any order, all CWC does is help explain the story for Summerset.

And if you pick up the story quest from the Mages Guild in Auridon/Glenumbra/Stonefalls (depending on your alliance), you get a really good lead-in without doing CWC beforehand.

I personally haven't even finished Morrowind and I went straight to Summerset. I do plan on doing Morrowind on my main as soon as I'm done with Wrothgar (which I had finished on a different character)

You will miss part of the overarching story of the daedric princes, but if that doesn't bother you, it's a very small portion of the main story.

Honestly, I would recommend doing Clockwork City before doing Summerset for a couple reasons.

    1. Summerset is definitely the climax and culmination of the Daedric Wars arc. Yeah, it can kinda be done on its own, but Clockwork City makes more sense if it happens before Summerset.
    2. You'll meet a character in Clockwork City that you'll see again in Summerset. Again, the dialogue is set up so it doesn't matter which order, but I had a greater connection with the character because I have met them in Clockwork City.
    3. There's a plot point in Clockwork City that makes much more sense if it happens before Summerset.

Now, Clockwork City and Summerset can be done in any order without spoilers. So if that's your concern, you should be okay to do it in any order. However, from a story-telling perspective, I do think that Morrowind -> Clockwork City -> Summerset is the best way to play the Daedric Wars arc since Summerset is definitely the epic conclusion to the whole story.

clockwork city takes place before summerset so if you do it out of order it wouldn't make sense

My 2 cents on your other 2 questions. ...

Morrowind and clockwork city seems to kinda take around the same amount of time.

To get the psijic line started, you will only need to do a very small amount of summerset main story.

    Play how you want

If you care about the story do play it before you start summerset.

#1 rule of ESO, play what you wanna do, there is no 1 or 12 ways to play ESO. It's all up to you.

You can do whatever you want in whatever zone, there is no set order.

I would recommend playing the base game zones in order if you like to quest and follow a story, but even if you prefer to do that, dlc zones are kind of standalone.

To be honest... I hate dwemer construction and style, so I skipped that DLC and don't regret it. On the other hand, I enjoyed summerset a lot. :)
