Why is patch maintenance interrupting the last 6 hours of the Orsinium event?

To my recollection, in the past, if a Monday maintenance would conflict with an ongoing event, that maintenance would generally be rescheduled to the following day. I don't understand why that's not being done this time. The Orsinium event is scheduled until 10am EDT on Monday August 13, but since maintenance is being started at 4am EDT, that basically ends the event 6 hours early.

Crown sales pays the staff so people can play free. There are not enough ESO+ people to support the game obviously or they wouldn't be upping the rewards for ESO+. Also, I don't understand people who continue to play the game of a company they obviously despise.6 -

Just like they would nerf Sload's (which they won't for selling more copies of Summerset), make PVP more appealing (hasn't changed in 2 years), balance classes (instead they introduced OP Wardens), increase performance (yet people are still being kicked randomly from the game), etc etc etc.
Now they made matters worse for themselves by having an event at the exact same time as a patch maintenance (ZOS logic I guess).

Are you sure? How do we not know that it's Zenimax REWARDING ESO+ players. While I complain about Zenimax a lot and harsh on them I will give the praise when they deserve it. Maybe Zenimax is not the evil company like I and other people make them out to be.
People don't play for free. We need to BUY the game so there is no playing for free at all. (Unless it's a free play weekend). As for people who play a game that they despise the company sadly speaks volumes on them and not the company.Not my quote but I love this saying
