Give wardens an execute!

If wardens are pressured into using the bear on BOTH slots then make the bear do additional damage to enemies below 25% health or cliff racer do additional damage to enemies below 25% health, give us something besides wishful thinking....

Not sure if you are trolling or just wasn't paying attention. The bear already has an execute.

I'd be okay with an execute, alongside the bear...but the bear does indeed have an execute already lol...

I was thinking along the lines of a better execute, one that doesn't require having the bear

... make the bear do additional damage to enemies below 25% health ...

I like that idea: every bite and swipe dealing double the damage, not just the Ultimate

I'm on the side of bears current execute seems mostly weak. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I only get one or two chance to activate the bears ultimate in the last 25% of a fight.

Maybe they could add execute-component to swarm? To make it deal more dmg to low-health targets and basically make it work like poison injection. Swarm as semi-execute + bears excute could provide wardens overall enough execute-dps and in pvp swarms execute-part would have purge as counter-play.

if we're only choosing the bear to criticise about wardens - then give it a gap closer when we fire the ulti, in pvp using the bear is daft, its never there as its always trying to path find its way down rocks or out of towers etc.
I would love to love my bear - but its junk to use in pvp on any competitive level.

I feel like warden could realty use an execute on fetcher infection, poison injection style... this would help in pve substantially while giving them something good but not game breaking for pvp

Giving the bear’s auto attacks execute scaling sounds really tempting... but do we really want more of our class power focussed that destroyer of worlds ult that is also useless in many trials and pvp modes due to survivability and pathing issues? I feel like warden would be a better class overall in pve and pvp if it weren’t so dependent on ults for things as basic as executes and stuns

But on the topic of our Ursine Pal... his power seems on point... but we need some way to protect it... I mean that is what we do... we are wardens, we protect. We should be able to armor our bear with expansive cloak/ice fortress and heal it with nature’s embrace/bursting vines... furthermore, the bear needs immunity to certain boss and trial mechanics to prevent those fights from degrading into resummmon spam and it needs a better recall system (teleport to summoner instead of waddle?) so it’s not so irritating when the bear decides he wants to be in Summerset when you are Vvardenfell

BM Hunter in WoW has/had (have not played in years) this, stuns at the end, and a very fun ability.

    Or how about this?

    - Change Crystallized Slab (Crystallized Shield morph) into a damage shield that scales off Max Magicka and just like the Sorc shield also protects the Bear
    - Blue Betty (+ morphs): While the Netch is active, the Bear takes 30% less damage (Major Protection for the Guardian)

Couple of ideas that I've had.

There's a lot that can be done for Warden other than an execute buff.

Bear could be made to heal itself via its basic attacks and ultimate.
Crystallized Shield+morphs could cover the bear as well as the Warden
Dive should get the 15% damage increase from Screaming Cliff Racer automatically baked into the base skill, Cutting Dive should get a debuff of some sort (Minor Maim/Fracture/whatever) and Screaming Cliff Racer should gets an "echo" attack that fires off a 2nd Cliff Racer for half the damage of the original attack.
They need to return the duration of M.Fracture/Breech to 10 seconds on Shalks.
Fletcher Infection shouldn't require a 2nd cast to get the buffed damage, just flat out increase the damage/duration of the skill. Growing Swarm should just be an AoE instead of this poor imitation.

    Just a few suggestions.

Are you saying Crystallized Slab should be another hardened ward or do you mean that it’s projectile absobtion effect should scale off max mag?

For Blue Betty, the major protection buff on bear thing doesn’t really make sense as the jellyfish exists in a symbiotic state with the caster, not the bear... but it would be interesting if ice fortress/expansive cloak applied that buff to pets... I honestly just want to cover my bear in ice, nothing should be safe from the icy plague XD

I like the idea of fetcher infection having an execute type of bonus. Honestly though, anything sounds good.

    No.

It's been no since the beginning, I don't expect it to change now. Wardens are destined to be the Scottie Pippen's of eso but it's fun to think about.

You must be ready to sacrifice something really valuable in cost of execute.
How about Major Mending or Major defenses?

You know those NPC shamans that were (probably) based on the Warden class before it was cut? They have this Totem that reduces damage taken for their allies that are standing in it. I was thinking that the Netch could operate like that: a simple Netch (without the laser then) that applies Major Sorcery/Brutality to the Warden and Major Protection to the Bear, buffing them both

And yes, I was saying that Slab could perhaps become another Hardened Ward like the Sorc, giving Wardens another morph choice (like Impaling Shards) between a Projectile Absorption for the Warden only or a Damage Shield that protects the Bear as well. Which I think would be nice for PvE DPS where the Bear is important so that the Warden doesn't have to slot an extra Armor skill or break rotation to target the Bear and heal it. Just shield and Netch it :p

Nothing should be sacrificed considering we're talking about a killable pet. Especially not Mending or defense, since that would hurt Warden healers
