Can't play the ESO free trial without PS plus

I can't play the free trial without a ps plus subscription. I bought the game before the free trial started. Is there any way to fix this?

To join the Free Play event on the PlayStation 4 you can visit our Free Play page and select your platform of choice to create your ESO account, then follow these steps:

1. Go to the PlayStation Store on your console
2. Scroll down to the category "PS Plus" on the left side of your screen
3. Scroll to the right until you see a large tile for "The Elder Scrolls Online"
4. Select this tile
5. Select "Try Free Demo" button to begin the download of the "The Elder Scrolls Online"
