If you log out of one of your chars that is currently inside your house and then log onto another one and change anything in this house it willl take you more than 3x the time to log on than usual if you want to use the first char again.

Platform: PC EU

@BohnT : on which platform and megaserver do you play TESO? ZOS cannot investigate your report without that information. (Please read Guidelines for Bug Report Forum.)

From your report, I suppose that both of the respective characters are in the same Homestead. However, I suspect that they might not be in the same "instance" of that Homestead when you log-on to either one of them. So a longer delay might occur because the change by the second character was made in a different instance, since the instance in which the first character was logged-out must be updated by the change when you log-in to that character again.

On the face of it, it would make more sense that only one instance is needed for a Homestead which is owned by a specific player -- whether using a "megaserver" system makes a difference. (Then again, a lot of what I see while playing TESO doesn't make any sense. ....)

Personally, I have two characters which I routinely log-out in the same Homestead. First of all, I never really know just how long it will be after I log-in on the primary screen before the Character Select page is displayed.

Then, after I choose the character to play, there can be two loading screens. One is to load the character, followed by another loading screen if the character is in a Homestead. Whether the amount of time is longer for the second one if one of my two characters that share a Homestead has made a change is something which I have not particularly noticed.
