Concern about Keynote Rewards

So, I would really like to acquire that wolf pet and those crates, but I play on console and at the time of the Twitch stream and the hour afterward, I will be at work. Is there anything that someone in my situation can do?

Watching the stream wouldn't be an issue! I have a pretty lenient office job and would even be able to watch the stream at work. The problem is that you can't link your Twitch account with a console account and redeem the rewards.

lol truth. It starts at 10am PST and you have an hour to make a kill on console to get the rewards. The 9 to 5 crowd doesn't stand a chance. Why not make it a peek hours event? Like 5 or 6 for console, gives us at least a fighting chance.

You can use Remote play for your PC/Mac if you can set it up.


If your work is super chill, I don't see why they wouldn't let you bring your console into work. Pack your PS4 stuff, take it into work, and just take your lunch break during the event to log in.

Just read the instructions carefully. Part of the process requires you enter a code displayed on the PS4 screen/tv onto the PC screen. So if you cannot use the work computer for this, grab your home laptop, set the Remote play up at home. Leave the console in rest mode when you head into work tomorrow so you can turn it on remotely. Or you can just leave it on.

A better option would be to have more than one hour to log in. Anyone that works a typical 9-5 schedule (regardless of US timezone and not to mention timezones around the world) is out of luck aside from specific workarounds.

That was my first thought on reading this. I get that they want to encourage as many people as possible to watch the stream but it's really not going to be practical for a lot of people. People in mainland Europe may be ok as this will be early evening their time - but people in the UK are likely to be stuck as it starts at 5pm when a lot of people are typically travelling home from work. Americans will still be at work, and not everyone has a job where you can get away with watching a Twitch stream or playing a game, even for a short time. And of course in large parts of the world it will be the middle of the night.

But I guess their priority is boosting the number of people watching the stream, not enabling players to get the rewards.

That is a fair consideration. As a dedicated player, I want more people watching the stream as well.

I realize I have no expectation to get free stuff that is offered, but also want to participate/have a chance (especially as an ESO+ subscriber). Pretty sure my boss wouldn't approve leave to go play a video game during work hours, haha.

The console method of getting the pet and crates is complete B.S. Watching a stream is one thing as most people have access to a computer or cell phone where they can watch the stream from almost anywhere. It's simply not feasible to be able to log into the game and kill an enemy for a huge amount of the player base that will be at work. The pet being unique means this is the only opportunity to get it - through a one-hour window.
