Can we have mods fot the ps4. Fallout4 have mods for the ps4. Why cant eso have mods for the ps4. Just some ease of life mods. Like say skyshards or map pins.

Is it too much to ask for. I play on pc but mine croaked recently.
It is so tedious playing on the ps4 but i will play eso on it because its my only choice.

Yours truly.
A diehard eso fan.

The mods will make life in eso ps4 more viable. Falllut4 on the ps4 can handle it. Is eso mods too much for zenibeth to accomplish.

Talk to Sony about allowing mods for ESO. ZOS doesn't have a say in allowing/not allowing mods for Playstation.

No. Mods make the game easier and some mods do things for the player telling them they need to stand at X in trials, or counter some attack. They take away skill in the game and its one more factor one player can perform better than another both in PvP and especially PvE on top of all the balance issues. NO! Pull up online maps if you need them, its not hard and you're definitely able if you're posting here.

You should change the title of the post from mods to add ons. I think its confusing people.. I mean i guess you could call them mods but they're add ons...

But anyway let me try to wrap my head around all the people saying no to this.. You obviously didnt read his whole post and thought he meant like actual mods to change the game.... Or you are just... Uninformed? I really dont know tbh.. But any console user who doesn't want add ons (such as the skyshards and lorebooks on the map) must have never seen them on PC because they really make life so much easier.

On my PC char i got to mages guild 6-7 just by getting skyshards. I never hunted for lorebooks. But the lorebooks were always popping up on my map so i would grab them anyway.. Its actual disgusting how zos treats console users. And im guessing we are either half or more than half of their game. Makes no sense..

The thing is, @russelmmendoza, we are never going to get this.. And if we do it will be in the future in the form of a QOL update that improves the map for all players. But im doubtful we'll even get that. I dont even know how to describe the difference between grinding skyshards and lorebooks with and without add ons.. A massive, astronomical, difference i guess? A million times easier maybe?

Either way zos always comes off as, to me, not doing more than the minimum... So i really dont think we'll see it.. But please prove me wrong zos because it really sucks feeling like the unwanted stepchild.. And please dont tell me " its sony and microsofts fault" because no it isnt. It might be partially their fault that we dont have add ons, but like i said before a QOL update adding the map points would have nothing to do with sony or microsoft. Hopefully we'll get it one day but i wouldnt count on it..

It would be very nice to have Add on's for console! I wish I had a better PC for gaming otherwise I would be in heaven. Not sure how ZOS could make that happen but I wouldn't say its impossible.

So why are they acceptable on PC?

QOL mods shouldn't be a problem. Being able to see the skyshards, lorebooks, swapping gear, and crafting like making alchemy potions. I don't want Miat's cheese crutch either, and something like that would be too controversial anyway.

A post dungeon DPS report, after the group has disbanded, with only your info would be nice.

There's a middle ground for this issue, and it could benefit everybody.

I don't care about PC. I speak only for myself (FYI Im PS4 NA) and people I know on console. Its okay on PC because it always has been, but PC players can't deny they don't know what they'd do without their add-ons. It takes away skill in the game. If it were restricted only to quality of life changes I'd agree and say add them... stuff like lore book locations, sky shards, etc., but no combat related add-ons of any sort.

I think highly of the dev team, and I realize its a money issue - but we are so far due a serious QoL update on the console that it is a black eye on the team. I regret I had to miss Quakecon, I would have agitated for an update there. Its time that it stopped being back burnered and the status quo accepted.

There are a number of folks in the community with the ability and the willingness to come to Austin and do it pro bono under their supervision if need be. It harms the game to not do something. Its been years.
