This would be a better addition to add towards the stam Dk. what do you guys think? i know stam Dk's have poison abilities, maybe add a minor defile to the whip when the enemy is off balance?

    Thats not even the same skill.


    But mag dk's use that skill in pve. Poison whip is beating a dead horse.

    I play mainly stamina DK and I feel it's not really needed. Also not every magicka class skill need have a stamina morph, especially one that does almost exactly the same thing. The game is balanced even with less stamina morphs, since stamina classes have access to 4 weapon lines, as opposed to just 2 for magicka ones. With the introduction of Psijic skill line all classes now have access to Crushing Weapon, which is a cheap spammable skill with some added benefits.

    it really isn't a bad idea, and its been pitched several times over the years. the only thing is we have heroic slash and tbh the minor heroism is gonna be hard to give up (for me anyway). yes I know heroic slash is a weapon skill and is available to everyone- but DK is the only class that has battle roar which becomes more effective the more ulti generation you have, ulti gen also increases your burst opportunity.
    I would like to see a stam whip, but for me to move off heroic, its gonna have to be a damn good skill

    While this is true, stamina DK needs a spammable, and needs a major overhaul of the passives available to it. @ZOS_Wrobel and his team probably considered this many times before, they're probably afraid of an overpowered stamDk situation.(pure speculation here btw).

    But this situation can not be changed with simple percentage changes and small QOL buffs. The class needs identity, tools for skilled players to utilize, and to do this, it needs new morphs, and tweaks to existing morphs.

    I think if stamina DK had something like the 2h's brawler, a cone spammable,but with better damage, instead of shield and dot, it would probably serve the class really well, If too powerful it could have a cast time or it could be a second phase of a single target spammable.

    The idea here is that an aoe spammable would not require to lock on a target like d. swing does, as result it could be used more reliably while still requiring aiming to use. I really liked the idea of 2h brawler + master 2 hander, I think cone spammable is an underappreciated concept and could work great as a class spammable. And nobody complains about master 2h because a small cone like brawler is not so braindead easy to use.

    Buut, If zenimax wants to insist that stamina DKs are supposed to use weapon abilities, they could give us at least give us passive weapon damage or damage done per weapon ability slotted, so that way it would be obvious.

    I might disagree with the particulars, but stam DK seriously needs a spammable, and I would love a stam whip. It just needs to bring something unique to the table.

    stam sorcs need a spammable as well, and any stam class that relies on dizzying swing as its so clunky

    I would exclude stamden from that list as its really rewarding to time a d.swing with shalks, and finishing with a dbos. Massive burst that hardly anyone can survive. For stamsorc its much less burst and stamDK gets the worst burst with worst mobility out of these three so in conclusion, yes. Stamsorc could also use a helping hand.

    A spammable for stamdk needs to deal poison damage for various reasons and should be in the ardent flame skill tree.

    Why? Because that's where the passives are that a spammable can utilise without being too strong.

    Draconic Power doesn't have any good passives that work with a spammable.
    Elder dragon is crappy to begin with, iron Skin works all the time, burning heart doesn't work with a spammable and scaled armor is active all the time

    Earthen heart offers too powerful passives to be mixed with a stamina spammable, yes i said too powerful and stamdk in the same sentence and yes I've been complaining how weak stamdk is for over a year now
    But i have good reasons to say so:
    Eternal Mountain might be strong depending on what the skill does outside of dealing damage
    Mountain's Blessing gives us 0.5 ult / s and 100% minor brutality uptime that's really strong
    However the biggest problem is helping hands as it restores a flat value of stamina on each cast the interaction of cost reduction and the skill cost can be very problematic as even a 3k stamina skill can be reduced by a lot.

    Ardent Flames provide the best synergy for spammables in the DK class:
    Combustion works great with a poison damage ability,
    warmth will be changed next patch and stamdk can only keep up the snare 100% of the time when we spam our dots (which we shouldn't do because it's a waste of resources and venemous claw gets stronger with each cast)
    Searing Heat won't work with a spammable however (only if they made noxious Breath into one)
    World in ruins might buff the damage depending on what they give us.


    A staminawhip on stamdk shouldn't be just a deal x damage skill, it should provide good synergy with the whole class and if we get new stamina morphs a good synergy with those aswell.
    That would improve stamdk by a lot, it wouldn't fix all problems but it would help a lot

    If Stam DK has a Stam whip I would make and use one, but it’s been talked about for years I doubt it will ever happen.
