Well, I need furnishings. I bought Grand Topal Hideaway and I have just realized that this place is truly HUGE and I need more furnishings. So, for anyone who has any extra furnishings to donate, or would like to help me decorate, here is my gamertag on Xbox NA: SmokinutSS
Any help is appreciated and there may even be some gold involved

The cheapest way to furnish a house is to just travel around looking at what people have up on guild stores. I dunno what Xbox is like, but at least on PC, you can find a ton of true bargains on there. It's not just junk--people toss on really nice furnishings up for cheap because a lot don't sell instantly and they get impatient. It's my favorite way to decorate.

Now hang on just a minute, how long have you had Grand Topal, and only now 'just realized' how 'huge' it was?
I smell some shenanigans afoot. (Or i'm just making things too complicated, as per usual.)
I would help you, if there wasn't the dreaded PC-to-Console barrier. (You dirty console peasant!)

GT hasn’t been available for almost a year..but it wasn’t inexpensive. I’m on PC, or I’d be happy to craft items with mats. I’m guessing though, if you’ve got the kind of gold/crowns to spend on this luxurious home, you won’t have any difficulty securing the furnishings by either paying someone to craft, purchasing inexpensive items from a guild trader as @bellatrixed suggested, buying from the crown store, or purchasing the achievement furnishings. In addition, the basic housing merchants next to each achievement merchant have some decent furnishings that are very low cost if you’re trying to save gold.
Best of luck and grats on the home! It has gorgeous sunsets!

Well I have always known it is huge, but this is my first house I have ever owned and I never realized how much furnishings these things take. Sorry for the confusion!

I bought the crowns on Black Friday awhile ago. I can't spend that much again though, no matter how tempting

Honestly, I had more fun and learned more about what works and what looks like it could use more work, by simply buying every little item under 100 I saw and making something out of them. Actually, I did that when I first moved out of my parent's house too..hmmm.
All those sticks people were happy to get rid of? I made a huge nest, before the little ones for the Gryphons was even on an Artist layout board. Rocks became statues, Paintings became a table top. I would just think of a theme and use whatever I found. I currently have all the homes under 200k just furnished with stuff under 1k.
A person that does home tours made a video one mine A Storage Home that I turned into a shipping place so that no matter what was there it fit into the Scene.

I'd pick a theme, and then buy some decently priced furnishing recipes in that theme.
For example, if you plan to make your home a Nord theme, you can purchase a lot of the green Nord furnishing recipes for a couple of hundred gold - and a lot of the blue ones for 1-3k.
In most cases, the more expensive purple recipes aren't 'needed' - unless of course there is something that you absolutely must-have.
Then just go around guild stores and buy up all of the cheap furniture crafting materials you can find and start crafting.

As mentioned above, I also regularly just head to an area and check the guild vendors for ready crafted furniture - I set the max gold limit to 2k and then do a search. Anything that looks useful I snap up.

Don't forget about achievement furnishing items either, some are pretty cheap and quite big. Obviously in a house of that size, you are going to want to make use of some larger items to make it look full.

And lastly, go to each city / town with a furnishing vendor and have a look at the environmental items they have for sale.
Trees, Vines, Walls, Planks etc are all great for filling up big spaces - and you can build something entirely new from some of the items.
