The last Crown sale, when they were reduced by only 20%, was the first time ever that I haven't bought any at all.

20% can hardly be considered a worthwhile reduction, coming after the normal rates of 40 to 50% off.

Until sales return to their previous level, I shall not be spending my money on them.

There will likely be a crown sale some time near the end of this month. For the last 2 years there were crown sales at this time. They had just better be 40-50% off (like last years) otherwise they can shovel it up their dark side.

There's a sale today (PS4, England), but it is hardly worthy of the name: 30% on 21000 down to 20% on 5500. I won't be buying any.

I never buy crowns anyway, I think it's a complete waste of money and waaaaay over priced. The only way I get crowns is through ESO+ which gives me free crowns and like alot of people if it wasn't for the craft bag I wouldn't be buying ESO+ at all.

It's funny how they raised the prices by 20%, so that when they offered the 20% "sale", we were basically offered the normal price for packs as if it's a real sale as if we wouldn't notice. They really seem to think we're stupid.

I won't be buying more crowns unless they offer a proper sale, like they used to. The prices in the crown store are so hugely overinflated that it's not worth the money to buy the packs at their current valuations. I can live without cosmetics, no matter how much I might like them or want them. I won't be tempted to open my wallet unless I feel like I'm getting actual value for my money.

Same thing Bethesda did with the FO4 season pass (obviously realising they had under estimated the sweet spot). Upped it and then sat back and watched some deluded folk cry bargain when it went on 'sale' for the previous normal price. Just goes to show what devs nowadays can get away with and the masses still fawn over them. All the while those willing to accept anything happy to point fingers at their 'entitled' fellow gamers rather than face the reality of the situation.

So many things I could buy with crowns right now... but even if PS AU has them "on sale", I ain't buying at that measly discount.

Don't forget that some items are also discounted, so that Orsinium for example is down from 3,000 crowns to 750 crowns. You can then buy those crowns (as part of a bulk purchase) at a further discount. People can judge for themselves whether it's worth their while, but do bear in mind that it's not only the crowns that are on sale at the moment but also some of the stuff you might be wanting to spend them on.
