dark elf dk build

hi need some advice on this character i just started playing eso so im will likely do dual wield for melee and maybe a bow for ranged damage but i dont know which type of armor to use light medium or heavy aslo which should i chosse magicka or stamina please help and ty in advance also which skills to use i like playing dps

Well, you're playing with stamina weapons so you should probably choose medium armor and stamina abilities

You're not gonna get much use out of Dark Elf, though, unless you're playing it exclusively for the RP

Use this as a starting point. Read up on class/weapon skills and gear sets. Switch to 3rd person and center the camera if you haven't already. Don't spend attributes equally, all stam or all mag.

As others said, a Dark Elf would be strongest as a magicka-based character, which means using a staff instead of dual wield.
Or, you can make an awesome dual wield stamina-based character with one of the stamina races (Wood Elf, Redguard, Imperial, Khajiit, Orc), either by race-changing your current character, or by starting afresh.

Magicka, since they get a larger bonus to magicka, and the damage you'd do as a dual wield character would scale off of their maximum stamina, not their magicka.
You COULD have a Dark Elf stamina character, but he'd be a little bit weaker than if he was a magicka character.

For skills choose the morphs that do more damage and are magicka based (generally if you just read the skill descriptions, it becomes common sense). Also don't use Dual Wield and Bow. Use a Destruction Staff.

And for now, just level every skill you can, especially in your class trees. You'll never know when you'll want to use a certain skill, and it would suck to find out you never leveled it

Ok well sorry to bother lets see i was aiming for all elf races so dunmer atmler and bosmer so which races best fit the classes i mean racial and all ty for all advice i want just to make sure

Dunmer + Altmer are magicka based

Use Bosmer if you want to be a stam DK

Either way though, DK is melee focused. Just because you use a staff, doesn't make you ranged.

Well, a lot of it comes down to what you plan to do with the character. If you're just looking to experience the story content, then do whatever you want. If you're looking to get into trials and veteran DLC dungeons... then look to the meta.

I have an alt Dunmer DK that spent majority of his existence as a magika DK. Honestly, it bored me. So I recently respecced him, to Dual wield stamina, for Summerset and had an absolute blast.

As for gear he's in 5 Red Mountain (medium armor), 5 Way of the Fire (3 jewelry, 2 swords & bow), and 2 Shacklebreaker. When it comes to overland content, he pretty much kills everything before the Red Mountain proc can even hit things. Still, it's fun to see the little volcano erupt. I also have no idea if the Dunmer racial passive affects Red Mountain & Way of the Fire damage. Don't care if it does or doesn't, I'm going for a theme here. So much to the point I spent crowns on those Crown Store fire weapon skins. The Ilambris outfit style. Worth it, they still glow when sheathed, and flame when unsheathed.

I don't have any monster sets with this character at the moment, though I suspect Valkyn Skoria would be the one I should aim for. As I stated this character is an alt, I'm not grinding away for monster gear on him.

So, the short answer, if you're looking for a meta build, then you should make your Dunmer DK a magika fire mage. But if melee is really your thing, and you don't plan on doing harder content with this character - take a look at these sets with a DW. You'll steam roll over overland and story content stuff. They aren't too expensive to buy from guild traders either as, previously stated, they are not meta.

Just thought I'd mention this as I love this character. He's an utter blast to play with. Quite literally at that. If you're just looking to have fun, and don't care about leader boards, you can absolutely make a very effective stamina dual wielding Dunmer DK for story content.

2 piece of Shacklebreaker is crafted for a small weapon damage boost.

I'm sure a monster set would significantly boost damage, but like I said, my guy is an alt and he pretty much just see's story content only.
