Taking Transmutation a step further

Many of us have more transmutation geodes than we know what to do with. They don’t stack and take up a lot of inventory space. Let’s add more ways to use them :)

My idea is for us to be able to transmute weapon types. Let’s say you get a VMA Ice staff but you wanted inferno. For X amount of crystals, you could transmute it from ice to inferno. If you, for example, need an axe but keep getting maces, yeah you can make it look like an axe but it’s not really an axe. But you could transmute the mace to an axe to get your bleed damage.

To me this helps out people wanting a token system, people who are burnt out by bad RNG, and people who want to use their crystals they have earned. Zos could make you have 9 traits to be able to transmute, or make it cost 100 crystals, I’m sure they could work something out.

    If people think this will result in people consuming less content, I think it will do the opposite, while it might not be the same content they were grinding to get their weapons, they will be doing content they /want/ to be doing with the weapons they wanted badly. It will open up a lot of doors for people with their builds and their end-game content quality.

    If people think this will result in people consuming less content, I think it will do the opposite, while it might not be the same content they were grinding to get their weapons, they will be doing content they /want/ to be doing with the weapons they wanted badly. It will open up a lot of doors for people with their builds and their end-game content quality.

    Good thinking.

    Keep going with the idea too. Transmute monster set weights. Heavy to medium, medium to light, etc.

    I also like the idea of being able to transmute gear from light to heavy or med to light, etc.

    With jewelry crafting, there is less of a need for armor weight transmutation, but I can see how it would be useful.

    I also wish armour weight transmute was a thing... for the OP's idea I think it should take x number of weapons. Eg I have more 2H melee weapons than I'll ever need (one was enough) so if it cost me say 3 VMA weapons plus 100 transmute stones to make a lightning staff, I'd do it in a flash.

    Personally, I think it would be nice to "Level" weapons and armor.

    Yes, they are gonna make it require 101 transmute stones.......For reason.
