Wrothgar event was quite fun

New player, I've only completed three zones and working on my fourth been playing about two months. I had ventured into Wrothgar for something at one point and the zone was deserted which was odd at least for me to see since the zones I had been playing in had many peeps. The Wrothgar event that started yesterday was quite fun, accepting dailies for mobs that I hadn't even come across, grouping with random groups to complete those. I wanted to try the VMA but ran out of time last night and have no idea how to start that anyway but looking forward to it eventually even though I'm only 190 CP atm I don't mind dying lol. Anyway hats off to the game devs this was quite nice, hope this sort of thing occurs more often.

Wrothgar is my favorite zone. Glad you enjoy. Too bad they mixed two events at the same time, I'm currently in cyrodiil so can't go wrotghar for double loot.

Yes I noticed that, I ran one or two quests last night that were well thought out and interesting before being added to peoples dailies. I haven't grouped much yet due to not liking the chat interface on console but managed to eek out a few sentences. It will be my next zone for sure.

Just think it's a great idea to introduce people to zones like this, especially us newbies.

Since PvP ranks take so long to acquire it would be stupid of me to leave pvp for wrothgar when I am trying to rank up so I do not get to pick all the double nodes I would like. We have weeks all the time with no event going and the fact that they decided to make these overlap is actually insulting. Who has the time to participate in all of this?

Maelstrom is something you want to do on normal first. To do the run, just walk up to the entrance and go on. You will see the quest arrow.

I agree, I wish they didn't overlap the events. My 12 hour sessions of being frustrated at not knowing what is going on in Cyro cos no-one communicates in case of faction spies will be severely interrupted.

Not so mention the added server vomit as a result. There is an apparent strain when doing the Wrothgar content vs the normal occasional slow responsiveness.

Seems any time there is an event that increases player density in a particular zone it just aggravates things even further.

They could have waited a few more days, having them consecutively instead.

Yup exactly. I would love to hear a response from someone at ZoS as to why they thought it was a good idea to overlap events. IT WAS A BAD IDEA

Orsinium is certainly chapter worthy content. Wrothgar is a beautiful zone.

I think the story is better than the ones found in the Morrowind, and Summerset chapters, maybe even better the main story.

It's great content, but just know that it's substantially harder than any other solo content in the game (except for solo outnumbered PVP). vMA is one of the ultimate tests in this game -- be prepared!

Oh I'm sure I am going to die over and over at least it's not like one MMO i played where you lost experience when you died that sucked. I'm so new I just discovered last week that you can switch weapons which changes your spell bar. I new you could swap weapons but didn't know the spells could be set up different for each swap, so now on to learning a larger spell rotation lol

I'm just a bit confused because last year's Orsinium event was in November; I wasn't expecting this so early. Died a lot in stage 2 vMA last night (first time ever there), will give it a go again today.

I suspect the decision to hold them in parallel is to try and divert some of the server load to another part of the map. If everyone's in the same location, that's when you get the worst lag.

Orsinium, the highest lag and lowest fps among all PvE zones. Loading textures of these huge walls and structures takes forever.

Favorite part has been VMA. Tried it on my Stam DK and ran into a wall on stage 5 with the frozen rinks or whatever. Gonna need to figure out the mechanics of that one. And then tried with my Mag DK, seemed easier than with my Stam on the first stage, but couldn’t dodge all those spinning blades on the second. Oh well, I’ll figure it out.
