Focused aim evaded, roll, roll, evaded etc

I have a hard time trying to land this skill in players in battlegrounds... if im charging and the enemy roll then it miss, if i already shot and he rolls 0,2 second before then it miss also.... can someone explain me how roll works???? is like you can evade all skills before and after without problems. I think something is not working as intended.

    If they are roll dodging over and over their stamina is going to be depleted rather quickly...especially with no CP. Solution: stop spamming snipe and maybe CC them because they will have no stamina left to break free.

    When on dodge roles there is a brief moment the dodge is in effect afterwards. This may be what you are experiencing.

    I am surprised (then at the same time nothing surprises me) that a charge skill which requires a target can actually miss the target completely. Then again Focus Aim has an issue with overshooting the target before. This may have more to do with that.

    I never said i'm spamming snipe i use it to open combat or in certain circunstances, but it really bothers me when i use it that they roll when im still casting and then they evade it or sometimes even when is about to land. So please the intervals are not too much consequent.

    Snipe has 2 problems that make it veeery slow: cast time (can be cut off by LOS, moving out of range, interrupting casting)

    And the travel time that can match with a dodge roll window or cloak. And also Evasion buff to add a layer of RNG.

    But it hits like a truck and puts a debuff so /shrug

    Snipe & other cast time abilities have two "dodge windows": the cast time, and when the projectile is traveling. If you dodge roll during either of those the ability gets dodged.

    Part of the problem is that there's no rulebook that explains the nuts and bolts of ESO mechanics. Roll dodge allows you to dodge some things, and not others, and there's only the one way to ascertain which. The animation isn't important, like you'd intuitively think, basically it triggers a "dodge buff" which has a duration. This can be extended by the Crusader set:

    Yeah seriously I’ve been trying to use the poison snipe because it has a chance to be useful for anti seige if I can time it with an Assassins Will proc, but the skill is stupidly clunky.

    It gets me stuck on that bar half the time because it doesn’t let me swap right after the animation for some reason, it’s completely useless for actual fast pace combat.

    It’s only real use is when you have like three people shooting down one person at once, or Poison/Sload/Bleed builds

    A skill that hits so hard and provides major fracture or defile from a ridiculous range should absolutely be dodgeable. If you want to play a bow only build then take the risk with the reward of being able to play at range. Otherwise grab a melee weapon on your front bar and be prepared to do battle.
