The benefits of a Warden

I have recently made a Stam Warden for fun and stuff and one thing I noticed is spell and I think possibly weapon damage sets too are more powerful then on other classes.

For example, I was in Cyrodiil earlier on a Mag Warden who is only level 16, when someone linked a piece of gold BSW gear. The tool tip was 702 spell damage. I also noticed that the Netch grants major sorcery, which according to the tool tip, grants 27% increased spell damage, as compared to 20% on other classes. Just wonder what is causing this? Is this intended for wardens, or is it simply a visual bug? Also curious if it applies with weapon damage sets and buffs like major brutality as well. Thank you.

Only benefit of a Warden is that you instantly feel more powerful when you switch characters.

It is probably somehow related to the scaling the game does on lower level characters, as was suggested by ak_pvp above. I started a warden some time ago and noticed how Major Sorcery on the Netch tooltip said 27% when it used to be 20% on my sorcerer (no idea if the actual effect was 27%, I did not check it). The warden also had more magicka, more health, more spell damage, etc. than my sorcerer outfitted with a lot better equipment, which felt somewhat confusing. Additionally, entering a dungeon caused the character's health to bump up by quite a lot. Leveling up the warden towards level 50 (wearing level 10 equipment basically all the way) caused my spell damage, magicka, health and the like to slowly approach the lower values on the sorcerer and now, at level 50 with the warden, the Major Sorcery correctly says 20% on the tooltip and my health, magicka and other values are back to values one would expect them to be at. Though it was funny to see my level 10 character with a level 10 staff and no other buffs (no passives, etc.) having 2k+ spell damage if I remember correctly. :)

Maybe ZOS could add some sort of better indicators somewhere to display to the players exactly how and why the scaling is done, because for someone new to the game it may look somewhat confusing to have the stats bounce around or even start decreasing as the level increases? I think there may have been a short notification upon entering a dungeon related to scaling in the top right part of the screen but something added to the character stat menus (like an effect that says "Balance Scaling: Increased character attributes to adjust gameplay difficulty based on character level." or something) would maybe help avoid confusion. I had been reading about scaling on the forums, but the actual scaling in the game itself was way beyond my expectations. Initially, I thought sorcerers had been nerfed to the rubbish bin with ridiculously low stats or that wardens were somehow completely unbalanced but it turns out it was some obscure scaling bouncing the stats around until I got to level 50 and ended up with normal stats again. :p

But yes, it is probably just scaling, when you get to level 50 things will probably be back to normal. ^^

Stamden has been top 1 or 2 since release.
