Did you test it and if yes how did you combine it with other sets and weapons?

    I did.

Lightning staff and resto I've tested it with.

Only really liked it against health tanks. I combined it with a source of defile, which made it effective.

    Slow AF tho

So, from my experience too niche for me to use

Just an example of the set for a build i released a while back.
Works REALLY well if you know how to use it and build around heavy attacks... works BEST on MagDK imo.

I decked out my magblade in it a few months ago and ran it with torugs pact with oblivion enchants. Used a fire staff and hit cloak right after releasing the heavy attacks. Since the oblivion damage doesn't crit, the heavy attack damage would be a guaranteed crit with cloak. You can also pair this combo with Kena. Trigger overkill and your heavy attacks are going to do an insane amount of damage.

It hits really hard, you can drop a non-shielded player into execute with a single heavy attack. Follow that up with Impale and you can two shot people.

While it is strong, all of your damage is mostly coming from heavy attacks. And if you want to hit the hardest with it you have to use a fire stave. So all of your damage can be dodged. You could use a lightning stave with it, but it won't hit as hard and is more easily countered due to the channel.

Yes. you need to focus all Oblivion.

Torugs or Sload + Knightslayer. Infused OB anyway. DW. Templar.

Templar because POTL will boost Oblivion damage. Hence the very best class for anything Oblivion. DW because it is fastest heavy.

    But the playstyle is booooooooring

Funny you mention - tried same setup because I got 2 gold Knight Slayer rings from leaderboards rewards.

It's really nice if you can get a lot of heavy attacks to connect. Bad against rolling builds, DKs conservatively using wings, other NBs that will stealth before your HA connects, groups that stick together and play smart.

And it's really good for a gank if you do something like heavy attack, destructive reach, light attack, force pulse, soul assault, impale.

It's very strong in very specific instances.

Generally only worth using with lightning or resto heavies, as they land super consistently, but on the other hand they're very slow. Also not bad when used on an inferno heavy out of stealth as part of a magicka gank combo.

The damage itself isn't great except against high HP folks, but it is oblivion damage...

The nice thing about it is you can basically ignore sustain with your other sets/mundus/jewelry because you'll be heavy attacking enough to stay pretty near topped off.

used it on my destro(lightening)/resto magplar along with elegance...

the thought being is that I'd fight using a lot of light and heavy attacks...

seemed to work okay, was just really boring playstyle thoigh...

I made this thread cause there is very less traffic about this set on the www or I just googled wrong..

KS was released before Sloads so I understand the logic about combination with torugs pact. But now I think the DpS gain on normal Oblivion enchantment + KS + SE is better.

Otherwise I don't understand why people used/using lighting staff. If I use a destro/destro or destro/S&B ok but that's really uncommon.

If my MagNB would go this way I would go for restro/s&b, KS + SE + Engine Guardian or Bloodspawn.
Gear 5/1/1 heavy, all impen, all tri stat.
Small scale restro ult + incap, zerg incap + s&b ult.
Funnel as spamable, some DoTs like gripping grasp or/and teleport strike, S&b primary buff bar, one AoE like sap or path for spotting invisible enemies, etc..

IMO the Oblivion DpS on this build compared with defile from incap should handle the most enemies and you are tanky AF. The combo of heavy attack + funnel weave and heavy armor passive means your magicka is most time on 100% while you're on off mode. The only trick is to handle your magicka and stamina on def but with the other two ults you have a 6s and 5s lifesaver with a cost of 125 to 135 ult.

Why the F*** noone tried this before? :D

I wore it on my magblade while ganking for a while. I also thought it was pretty decent just playing open world with my guild too. If you usually weave in some heavy attacks for regen and grim, or open your gank with a heavy it will do really well. I was using KS with spinners and Grothdarr at the time.

I combine it with infallible aether (yes the trial set). Gives me just enough crit for decent heals, debuffs players with a consistently applied minor vulnerability, increases the damage of my fully charged heavy attacks, creates a cool visual that other players can see, makes a cool sound as well, and when knight slayer finally procs after my lightning/resto heavy attack ends it's all the more satisfying. Not the most exciting playstyle, but it gives my healer something to do besides meditating my resources back. I also use grothdarr, which sometimes results in other players backing off from me.

    Favorite Foods and Potions
    https://media.giphy.com/media/3otPoTggaYFNd1FdAI/giphy.gif
    • Parse Food for PvE:(DPS) Ghastly Eye Bowl (increases Max Magicka by 4592 and Magicka Recovery by 459 for 2 hours).
    • Gold/Purple Food for Sorc PvP and Meme Tanking:(PvP) Clockwork Citrus Filet (increases Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406 [useful if stage 1 vampire], Max Magicka by 3080, and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours). Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).
  • TheFamousMockingbird
On my magic Templar I made a true Knightslayer build.

    5 Piece KS
    5 Piece Durok's bane
Alternate between different monster set head and shoulder pieces but have been using Domihaus and Lord Warden mix.

Current build out in Cyro is healer support, but this build also makes you able to send out some non-ignorable damage. It especially excels against tanky builds and shield users. Versus DKs it is a potent and oft surprising offense. Hit them with Eclipse on cooldown, and light attack light attack it will cause all their reflected dmg from wings and volatile armor to hit them for around 4k dmg a sec. Invite them into your templar house and save stam for breaking Petrify. Then start hitting them with the heavy attacks (I use resto, lightning also good due to channel). You will find that with the duroks kicking in and their health rapidly declining they tend to try and heal heal heal, hit them with soul assault or radiant for finisher. This is on a build sporting purges, siege shield and heals. From backline in a raid or zerg it sends out nice pops of dmg numbers while charging up your heals.

Sorcerer Overload ultimate is boosted by Undaunted Unweaver and Infiltrator sets though for some crazy damage. Add in Elegance with one of the sets + VMA Lightning blockade and your heavy melts.
