Source?? Common sense. When EVERYTHING goes down in the same maintenance window, that's a good chance the maintenance they're doing has to do with the datacenter the servers are in.

✭✭EU and NA servers are in different data centers, and EU (Frankfurt) data center already had maintenance last week. Seems a bit unlikely that they would have another so soon, and coordinate it with an entirely different data center in the US.
Have a feeling this was ZOS stuff, not data center stuff.
Or maybe there is a dependency between EU and NA. Perhaps all the authentication and account stuff goes through NA even if you play the game on the EU server.Edited by adriant1978 on August 1, 2018 4:52PM0 -

there's a supercool guy (from what i hear) from the German segment called Kai-something-or-other (no disrespect intended) who seems to do very well at informing the playerbase of current goings-on. i heard someone relate that he described it as a datacenter thing.
