Why no CC on a Mag Warden ??

I know there are CC's out there that i could use, like time stop or frost/flame reach or whatever. but we had one on fissure, with a 20m range that was delayed and hard to target.
now we dont. So my assumption is that it was nerfed because it was op .. but it wasn't - there was never a thousand threads like there are to nerf rune cage about deep fissure stun being broken and op.

Specifically - why dose Magden have no class CC ???

    i know they wanted to homogenise classes by not having an aoe and a stun in one place. but it wasnt an "aoe stun" it was a single target stun on an aoe ability.

    We had delayed burst as well - now we don't with the increased speed of cliff racer.

    i know there are already threads about this but i want to bring it more attention as we've just had another bunch of PTS notes that don't address any of the pain points of the Magden.

    The removal of stun from both Deep fissure and Frags made no sense to me at all. Both were highly telegraphed and easily countered.

    • EU players are humans too! We want our maintenances in the least pop time (at deep night) and not lasted for several hours!
    • Animation canceR - is true PvP cancer! When you can't see which actions your opponent do - you can't react properly on them!

    Sometime ago, the ppl at ZOS had this brilliant idea to seperate high damage skills and CC abilities, leading to the stun removal from such skills like Crystal Frags and Deep Fissure.

    You can see where that has lead us: Rune Cage fiasco and CC-less Wardens...

    I'm fine with the idea of separating high damage abilities and cc. The problem is that when you completely remove the cc from a class without shifting it to one of the other abilities. Even without cc on frags, sorc still has at least 4 cc abilities off the top of my head. Warden has 0. That could also be fine. Maybe warden isn't supposed to be good at cc. You do have to provide some identity for the class. What is warden supposed to be good at?

    Frozen Gate is absolutely horrendous in the PvP experiences I've had.

    The only cool thing is to warp someone above a cliff and watch them fall.

    If it worked when they have CC immunity, (even just the damage part) it would be way better. But as is, they can walk all over it if immune.

    I like shards, but only viable on the tank specs.

    Permafrost is the only CC, I don't believe in Deep Freeze (never seen it proc in PvP)

    Warden CC was taken away to sell more Summerset units. You need that time stop now!

    I mean, Wardens already paid to win once, that means you probably will again.

    I really really dislike time stop lol.

    If I am gonna use a hard CC it's gotta be to effectively kill my opponent. If my opponent (s) see it coming, it rarely does what I want it to.

    In a group against a group, hell yeah I can see the appeal. But in BGs, I've found it to not be adequate enough to replace: Fear, Petrify, Rune Cage, Javelin/Toppling Charge, or Reverberating Bash.

    I wish Accelerating Drain (or the other morph) were an unblockable stun. That would only be a bandaid fix (and a terrible one at that) but it seems more realistic than waiting for ZOS to make magicka wardens viable.

    Meanwhile, magsorc mains in other threads are freaking out about their 28m unblockable stun becoming dodgeable now lol...

    Agree 100%, miss the old c frags so much. Also started playing my magden in cyro and having to run reach is annoying, the stun was fine before

    I agree with the fact that removing stun from fissure wasnt really nice. Thought about builds with master staffs but nothing really worked out right. In the end I made a build based of frost dmg and a set that stuns instead of a skill. It seems to work pretty good tough.
